If you haven't seen this in the test center notes - November 10th...
Grouping
- We changed the way group payouts for missions are calculated. When a mission is generated, the reward payout per member is calculated based on the current size of the group. If the group shrinks in size or group members are too far away to receive payout, those that do get paid receive the original per member reward. For example, if 3 players take a mission that pays 12k credits, each player will receive a maximum of 4k credits when the mission is completed. They receive 0 if they are out of range, and less if more people are added to the group to complete the mission.
I guess that will make having the ability to slice terminals a whole lot more worth it!
Your opinions, smugglers?

When was it not worth slicing terminals for mission payouts?

Yea, I know it's worth it, but with the credit payout gonna be less for everyone else, I think you'll see a jump to those wanting to slice terminals...

At least one of the reasons the devs are doing this, I would guess, is because they are concerned that too much money is flowing ingame and not enough out of the game, thus causing inflation.
I think it makes slicing terminals for higher payouts a much nicer little perk -- unless they accidentally nerf that along with the solo groups.

Here's the kick - even the value of the slice is diminished. Thus, its more valuable to solo select missions at 17,000cr approx (post-slice) than pick any group type and have a 3,000-15,000cr payout group (or however 30k missions are split with different amounts of group members).
There isn't any way a non-smuggler is going to meaingfully benefit from terminal slicing. All it means is that all group members will have to attend all mission waypoints, like it should be.

As it is, i dont use slicing for income because missions are a better source of credits.
Although people are now raking in the cash doing 30k missions, they still think we are charging to high when we say 10k per slice.
The way i see it, slicing mightnow become adecent source of income again.
The Credit will be worth more than it is now, but the customer will still be paying the same for a slice

Eek! i'll be poor within a week now... at least its fairer for crafers and business sensed people, TKM'searning 60k every five missions from Mokk missions just made making an income from sellin guns, armor etc seem a bit pointless...

AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!! People are clever as hell. I think if the devs take this into account and solo-grouping dies, we will be looking at better economies.

The playerbase has shown time and time again that they are about 300 times smarter than the devs. I'm sure there will be some new money grind found. Every time they do this something new pops up.

I dont think that the playerbase is smarter than the devs as such, it just goes to show that the devs have some type of guidelines to work within, and the playerbase have those same guidelines to try work around

Mission difficulty will still be affected by the pet level. The payout rule is as it was before.

Meaning if you disband, the profit from the mission stay the same as if you were till in the group.
Note: This is a Combat Upgrade issue. This is being done now because after the Upgrade you will have to be group to be effective in the missions. This is to get people used to grouping now, after allthis is aMMORPG.
Ah, wisdom.
