Wait, so you sliced 400 weapons (8 crates of 25) for a big whooping 35 credits?
You are generous indeed. I do free slices sometimes for real newbies who have no proffession badges nor PA, but a few weapons and a suit or armor is pretty much my max.

Anyone ever really pissed you off because they are .... thingy.... holes? this happened to me last night:
I'm standing by a reb mission terminal with a friend when some guys walks up,
Dude: can you slice?
Me(with my slicer tag): yes, but I don't have my tools with my atm.
Dude: then don't put it up
Me(takes me a few seconds to realise that he's talking about my title): do you think my title is an advertisement?
Dude: well that is what slicers do! marksmen shoot, brawlers punch and smugglers slice.
Me(scarcasm kicks in): ohhhh, I guess I forgot it is my duty to slice! How silly!
Dude: yeah! glad ya know moron!
Me(what a jerk!): You've been such a good help I'm going to add you to my ignore list, thanks!
Dude: you mean friends list?
Me: Why the hell would I add you to my friends list?
Then I hop on my bike, drive off and kill some Stormies. Guys like that just make me want to shove a live grenade down their throat, oh well.

Ok a new one due to the latest FS trick. I'm sitting in the village with my master smuggler tag up. I know I've said that I'd never throw my tag up again but since JTL business is booming. Anyways, this guy comes up and the hilarity ensues.
Nade dude: hey can you slice granades?
Me: yeah sure 7k a slice.
Nade dude: 7k?!?
Me: that's what i charge. ( I swearI could macro these 2 statements)
Nade dude: how about a discount for a bunch of them?
(haggling with a smuggler? luckily i'm in a good mood)
Me: define a bunch.
Nade dude: 15 (he should seehow i define a bunch, but like i said i'm ina good mood)
Me: i'll do it this one time for 75k
Nade dude: 70k (ok good mood fading)
Me: how about 75k?
Nade dude: come on it's only 5k
Me: true
Me: 80k
Nade dude: hey you just said 75k!
Me: and you just said the 5k wasn't much of a difference
Nade dude: ok 75k
Me: ok deal ( somehow i knew he'd come around)
LOL, this is money dude.

i wanted to wait untill i finish reading all the pages, but since im only on page 25, and i just typed out this story for someone else, i may as well paste it in now, instead of haveing to type it all again.
this is a great thread, there are some truly funny and stupid people out there.
i just finished the slicing tree a few days ago, but when i was about half way through slicing 2, i was still asking for containers and had a person say he had quite a few, would i open them all for some architect stuff, i believe he said he was a master.
so i said sure, and off we went to his vendor where he was selling them for 3k i believe.
anyway, turned out he had 87 of them.
at first i thought, great!! lots of xp. then after i did about 10 of them i was not really looking forward to finishing the job. it took about an hour but i finished them all. found about 5 more inside to make the total 92 containers for him.
he had offered me 100k worth of his architect stuff, so i was pretty happy with what he was going to pay me.
he had left to go make harv runs while i finished the last 30 or so and when i finished i started to look through his vendors to see what he had. i didnt want him to have to make something, this had taken long enough as it was.
i planned on getting some harvs so i could start mining stuff to make spice. i figured a medium flora, mineral, and maybe a chem, some furniture, or a small house, since i didnt have one yet.
i had an order in with an architect already for all the harvs i needed and figured id sell the ones on order when i got them, if i didnt still need them.
as i start looking, his prices seem average, 35k-ish for mediums, 100k for some heavies, then i actually look at the stats, heavy mineral - 100k - ber 8, medium mineral - 35k - ber 6.
now im thinking, oh great, im screwed, ill never be able to sell any of this stuff.
i ended up getting a couple of small houses and an equipment factory for my trouble, i live in one of the houses now and make my smuggler tools with the factory, and i sold the other house for 6k on the bazaar. not the best profit ive ever made but i still got a bunch of xp.
side note, maybe just a bug, but when i qualified for slicing 2, it capped at the box level of 10k instead of double.
i figured i would just wait to train till i sliced everything, give my guildmates a chance for ap.
i just had an odd feeling and checked my xp, i had stopped gaining. there was a trainer in the mall where i was slicing, so it wasnt a big deal really, just the 8k or whatever it was to train, but if i hadnt checked, i woulda lost a bunch of xp, about 12-15k worth. i never had a problem like that at any of the other boxes, just level 2.

I bypassed all of the head aches of looking for containers to slice by buying all of the containers around the galaxy.Thereby avoiding all of the pains involed in dealing with dumb people.

An interesting experience I had last night:
Through scrolling through titles, I quickly (for 10-20 seconds) had "Slicer" over my head. Low and behold if I don't get a /tell.
Guy: Can you slice a gun for me?
Me: Sure. I'm at the MO on Dant.
Guy: Is your shop there?
Me: Shop?
Guy: Your workshop.
Me: I don't have a workshop.
Guy: I thought you said you could slice.
Me: I can. I have no need for a workshop.
I get another /tell:
Guy #2: Can you open my locked container?
Guy: Omw.
Me (to Guy #2): Come to the MO on Dant.
*They eventually both show up*
Guy #2 Hands me his container.
Guy #2: Don't open it after you unlock it.
Me: Okay.
*Sliced* *Hands it back to him*
Guy: Ready to slice my gun?
Guy #2: What did you do? Take all the treasure for yourself?!
Me: (In response to the first guy) Yes. *Realized what Guy #2 thought I meant*
Guy #2: You no good!I knew you smugglers were rotten. Don't counton my business again.
Me: I didn't take anything, I was answering his question about his gun.
Guy #2: Yea right, I know you took all the goods you smuggler. Then you left the stone daggers for me.
Me: *LMAO!* I'm sorry sir, but I didn't take anything.
Guy #2: *Leaves on the shuttle*
Me: Ready for your slice?
Guy: Hell no,you'll probably take the trigger out of it or something. Besides, what kind of smuggler doesn't have a workshop?
*Guy leaves also*
/sigh

Got to admit, that lack of secured trading window do create a lot of stories for this thread.
Ok so here is a story that happened to me yesterday...
Long story short, a gal ask me to buy an outpost for her. Since I am just high rank enough to be able to hold the needed FPs , I said yes. I did asked her if she was a Colonel, otherwhise it is not worth it (the transfer ratio is so bad otherwhise it cancel out the Master Smuggler discount)
Soo we went to a nearby rebel base, I get overt, she start transfering FPs to me. After I received 10k she complain that she alreasy spent 21k. I am like "mmmm? Are you SURE you are Colonel?" and she still say yes. My suspicions is that she was Lt Colonel but anyway, too late, I sure am not retransfering back to her with my Sergeant rank! I did asked her "are you Colonel" 2 times before we started after all so it is not like I did it on purpose.
So she transfered to me the other 5k and I buy the base. I give it to her, and ended up with a nice 1500 FPs more than I had because of my Bothan discount (really was needing 15k to buy it, the Bothan discount hit only when the FPs are taken from your total. And with my rank transfering back 1500 would have been pointless). So basically she paid more FPs for her base than she should have because she was obviously not Colonel even tho she keep saying to me she is, I made enough FPs out of the deal to get my Staff Sergeant rank and get 800 close of the Master Sergeant one, and she tipped me 20k on top of it, for my time. I know the cash was a tad low, but heck, I don't have JTL yet and I am trying to grind faction so I was happy.
And here the real funny part start.... she is stuck overt. She ask someone to kill her. The guy who is with her is adamant "I won't kill you", so I offer to do it, with a smile. "I have no taste to kill Rebels but if it is to help...." and I pull out my narglath pet (I am 2223 CH, pet is level 31). Then the guy turn to her and say "I will do it" and they duel and he kill her. I am joking "Awwww stole me my first pvp kill "giggles" " and he say "I kill peoples faster and without a mess" so I replyed "mm prefered to kill her fast than see my pet chew on her eh?" Then the guy turn around to me and tell me "She is my wife, I hate seeing her killed, I hated having to do it". Ooops! I winced, he must have hated my pet comment then!
Ok so PvP is not for everyone, but if you take it so seriously the idea of seeing the pixels of your spouse get whammed make you feel weird, why in heck buy a base ? Not that I am complaining mind you. The woman added me to her friend list to buy some more stuff later, both of them seem nice, but it was a strange enough experience to warrant being posted here.

another story from me so soon? yep, silly people are everywhere.
as i said in my last post i finished the slicing tree a few days ago (and now need 180k pistols to master) so i dont do freebie anymore.
my bio has my rules, prices, the random speech, no barganing, etc.
so i happen to be in cnet at the bank and someone is asking for someone to do some slicing, so i tell him, im a slicer, i work for 100cr/%.
he says great!
so open trade window and he starts dropping containers in and i say 'oh, sorry containers are 2k'
he replys '1k'
i tell him to examine me, give him about 10 seconds to read and say 'those are the rules' wait about 10 more seconds and run off.
i head over to the cantina to get my mind buff before heading to the fort, and get a tell from him 'ok, 2k'. im guessing he did a quick search for other smugglers and found no one else.
(mental note, up price to 3k)
i go open his 4 containers and not 15 seconds after i trade back to him, a novice starts shouting 'opening containers for free'
good times.
fast-forward 3 hours, im back in cnet meeting some guildmates for training and socials, as i walk in an ent asks if i can slicer her containers, 'sure,' i say, '3k each.'
thinks for about 5 seconds and says 'ok, ive got 6'
(mental note, up price to 4k)
open her containers and 5 minutes later get a tell from someone to open 4 containers.
'sure, 4k each' i reply
'ok, np' is what i hear back almost immediatly.
(DAMIT! MENTAL NOTE: RAISE PRICE TO 20K)
