Addition of a real sniper shot that one-shot incaps.
Requisites : you have to be prone for 5 seconds, your target must be standing still for 5 seconds at the moment you fire your shot. Any following action of the rifleman is delayed for 10 secs -or- target is immuned to ranged death-blow (current sniper shot).
All weapons in the game should have an "encumberance value". This should grant bonus or minus to your terrain negotiation according to which weapon you're using. A spraystick would grant +20 TN while a T21 would have a -20 TN for instance. All melee weapons would grant +20 TN. This in order to prevent from kiting too easily and add a bit of realism about wielding a huge gun. It's just crazy to see a rifleman with a T21 running as fast as a fencer.
Melee defense and range defense should stack. Because taking skills from many different professions is exactly what defines SWG from other games, and what -in this particular field- makes it intersting. Howevera rifleman/tkm wielding a rifle should get the benifits from his ranged defense and if he switches to VK/unarmed he'd only benifit from his melee defense. Note that this should be a PvP only change.
Active defenses (dodge/block/counterattack) should remain as is : because they are applied AFTER melee/defense they're not as "powerful". However i believe fencers should get counterattack and swordmen dodge because currently everything in the pistoleer and fencer professions work well together (kd / dizzy defense, active defense type, damage type). Again they shouldn't prevent dodge/counterattack/block to stack : what's the point in being able to spend your skill points wherever you want ? If someone is willing to spend 200 of his 250 points in combat professions, he should be rewarded for it.

You took the words out of my mouth Yuggo. I don't want to have to put away my t21 to travel. Thats stupid. And also who stands still for 5 seconds while overt? Thats a long time. We'd pretty much be able to that only on tef people at mission terminals or afkers.

I've always thought of myself as a machine gunner instead of a sniper. Since the max range in SWG is 64 M, true snipers will never exist. Lets just stick with our M60's, and just say no to nerf.
