ok i thought this would be a worthwhile attack to get, thinking i could take down multiple enemys quickly. however, it basically never seams to do any damage to anything other than the creature i am targeting, and you cant use it near a lair because as soon as you hit the lair youhave a whole pack of em right in your face. so if anyone can explain how to use this shot best, or what i am doing wrong id appreciate it greatly.

i have been carefully watching what happens, i am definatly hitting more than one target (i see head hit etc on more than one target) however only the target i am aiming at actually takes any damage. any ideas?????

You need a tank to use this shot effectively. If you have a TKM or a good CH pet with kinetic resists, you can have them attack the lair, and do very little damage to it, and just target a creature and then spam away. You can then just keep spamming that and get lots of xp really quickly.

The targets must be engaged in combat with you for it to damage them. I used to clean the Imp base on Naboo over and over with nothing but flushing shot 2 and a lot of running around....

/flushingshot2 is the best special a rifleman has, nothing is better then seeing 4 targets take over a 1000 damage in your battle spam

SS2 is THE best, but not all of us are masters. flushing shot 2 is pretty freaking good though. The targets have to be in combat. Something to do on missions is to do a standard attack on a lair/base to get everyone aggroed on you, then open up with Flushing Shot2.

Having a pet do it is even better though. I send my sacrificial Probot against a picket lair to kill them. Sometimes the bot even survives the onslaught.

i've been master for some time, back before we were the new "it" profession, so i'm not 100% sure on this. But i think when you shoot at stuff around a lair with a jawa ion rifle it doesn't hit the lair for any damage. So if stuff coming out of the lair is a problem, use a jawa ion rifle. Most stuff is vulnerable to stun anyways, the ham costs are nice, and the sound is cool.

Ok i have had the same problem or at least i think i have in the past. The problem is that it seemed like flushing 2 wasnt doing any damage to other creatures. First shot damages your target and really angers any other mods in the area of your fire. Second shot they are all actively trying to stomp you into inexistance. I think the problem lies in the fact you have to have all the animals within range for it to work properly. I havent tried this again with flushing shot because it tends to aggro some really bad enemies. But Flurry shot 2 does the same thing and I have landed it all night long tonight on every group of creatures and have killed them simultaneously. So technically you should check to make sure your other targets are in range.

all AOE attacks work the same. the target has to be in combat mode to take damage. shooting non engaged creatures will anger them and eventually they will switch to combat mode and start taking damage. AOE attacks are best used, as stated by others, with pets or something else to distract your targets. i use a gurreck.

my tactic is to sic my gurreck on the nest and target the monsters not the nest. flushing2 is the best AOE attack at non master and headshot3 is the best single target attack period. headshot2 is better than 3 if mind is a factor.
