Thread: Novice Rifleman needs advice

Just got the xp to become a novice rifleman. I have a couple of questions for you seasoned vets.
1. What rifles and stats would your recomened to purchase for specific purposes. IE Jawa Ion Rifle for PVP with stats: xxx damage, xxx HAM ect...
2. What would one expect to pay for that rifle.
Currently I use a sliced laser rifle. I've talked to a few rifleman who say speed doesn't matter anymore because they can deal so much damage with their T21's. I don't know if this is right but is the T21 the be all end all rifle and using an SG82, or spray stick or laser rifle is pointless since the T21 is so deadly, or do other rifles have other purposes in the game? I imagine that a rifle with a good speed rating would be deadly for laying down supression fire keeping critters away from the party.
Let me know your thoughts please.

First you're going to be looking at Lasers 30-400 AP2dmg base vs. 150-350 AP3 on the T21's. Now, if you're going to be solo lvling, snipe savage quenkers with a T21, but if you have a bud tanking, go with the laser. When you're sniping, you can usually get those little rats down in 4-5 shots using head shot. You need that T21 to make those first 3 free hits as consistent as possible. Soloing on those with a droid or pet grouped and stationed in town and you should get 4K xp a kill. 5 days is the average for mastering, dependent of course upon whether you play/grind more than 4 or 5 hours a day.

Also, if you do NOT have a tank...
--get Conceal Shot from the 0100 box
-- then maybe Mind Shot2 from the 2000 box ( i think )
-- after one/both of those, get to 0030 box as fast as possible for Flushing Shot 2
-- That is a strong AOE shot (Area of Effect = Multiple Targets) shot
-- buy Muon, or chefs food, etc.
