I'm rifleman 2122.

Just wondering, which powerup should I use? It seems from my experience, it still fires off the specials at a very slow rate even with a speed powerup (7.6 down to about 5.5 with powerup). Wouldn't it be better just to do more damage when it is my turn?

Until master rifle, use speed/mind power-up. At master use min/max damage power-ups

you may need some muon. consider a laser too, lower mind costs, lower speed. at master i only use a scope/stock/damage slice/powered up t21 though.

Yep, the speed is where it's at. And just wait until you get another lvl in spec abilities. You never realize how used to your fighting speed you are until it gets upped, and every new plateau in that is just teh goodness.

Actually contrary to popular belief, you are better off with a speed powerup and speed slice if you only have master rifleman. If you have master marksman then speed powerup damage slice. Only when you exceed 95 rifle speed will damage powerup damage slice really start to pay off. This only affects your damage per second using specials, if you just want to auto fire, use a damage sliced damage powered up gun after 4 in rifle abilities.
