Thread: Question: At Master Rifleman, does +25 in Skill Tapes to speed even help?
Put things in perspective.
at master rifleman, +90 rifle speed will fire a 7.3 second t21 strafe2 (3.5x multiplier off the top of my head??)at 2.55 (2.6?)seconds per shot.
+95 rifle speed will fire the same rifle and shot at 1.3 seconds per shot.
+99 rifle speed will fire the same rifle and shot at 0.2555 sec which is bumped to the speed cap of 1 second. do you really need faster than that? ![]()
by that measure, an 11.0 second rifle with +99 speed with strafe2 would fire at 0.39 seconds per shot (1 second)... so it's not gonna matter how slow your rifle is.
for most people, +95 works just fine.
the math for it is
100 - (rifle speed mod, 90 at master rifleman) * .01 = "real rifle speed" or, (100 - 90)*.01= .1
use that as the rifle speed mod, and multiply it against your rifle's speed (7.3 average t21) and the delay for a given shot (3.5x is the delay for Strafe2, the slowest shot).
so .1 x 7.3 x 3.5 = 2.555 seconds for strafe2 at master rifleman with a 7.3 second t21.
25 is the technical cap to any skill mod per TH, however speed over 100 is irrelevant, placing a "soft" cao at +10 at master or +5 with master marksman.

Carbineers are KD artists and can dabble in BH.
Pistoleers are dodge/KD resist artists and can dabble in BH and/or smuggler.
and Riflemen just deal damage and nothing else.(Even if block worked, wich it don't BTW, it would just halve damage)

Why shouldn't they change the entire game to suit his whim? he pays his $15/month so he should get to call all the shots. I am a firm believer that any skill/tactic/item in the game that causes people to die should be nerfed/removed.
