There has been a recent outbreak of nerf threads on the GCW forums baying for rifleman nerfs.
These people are citing highly incorrect DPS information and other false information.
Many of them are based around anti-defense stacking posts.
I have done my best to enlightnen them but my proverbial knife is not sharp enough to cut through the ignorance.

With the bug with the + melee defense while holding a rifle instead of the reverse as they intended + the removal of the 2.5x's damage modifier has turned our beloved profession into the flavor of the month. That of course means were in 1st position for nerf of the month.
Now I hope to got they fix the + melee defense while holding a rifle. Thats plainly a bug and needs to go.
Second, I know a lot of you hated the 2.5x's damage penalty. Personally I was always for it. However I think we can all agree we would rather our old 2.5x's back instead of god-knows-what they will nerf us with. Especially since mobs don't warp anymore.
