Which do you PvP Sharpshooters prefer to use?

Personally, i'm a fan of HS2 due to the abundance of buffs in the game - if someone is pulling like 3300-3000-1000 HAM, i'll go for the mind with a JIR or a T-21. But if i have a group aggro, it comes down to Strafe 2 for the pure hurt it can do to groups.

Also, Strafe2 lacks a bit due to the fact that you can heal the damage if it hits Action or Health, but HS2 deals unhealable damage (unless a CM is present, in which case THEY hurt themselves by healing mind).

I pretty much go after mind. I use dot's because the defense dabblers still fall victim to them. I will use strafes against large groups or if I know they don't have buffs or mit 3.

I use lots of foods and aim for the head using mostly HeadShot3. In almost every battle my oponent is buffed so strafeshot2 isn't really effective. I also <3 my Jawa Rifle.

Flushing2 has better DPS than strafe2 until you get at least four points of speed from SEAs.

If I got a rifle that spams Advanced Strafe at 1 sec I spam Strafe over HS 3(Ya I food and buff up).

Reason why, well I don't1 on 1often and the AOE is the best attack for a group.

If it's1 on 1I'll do the HS 3with my Jawa Rifle.

If I'm unbuffed, stack Mind Shots, run away, and finish em off.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

here's my take:

if you're one of the rare few with a gun good enough to get 1 shot incaps with strafe 2 an appreciable percentage of the time, obviously that's the way to go.

the next category is a strafe2 that does 50% or more damage to your target's ham in a single shot. most of us are in this category against unarmored opponents. this means it takes 2 strafes to the same pool (without healing factored) to incap. since strafe is a random pool targetted shot, it can easily take 3-6 strafes to incap. the same target could be taken out in a roughly equal amount of headsnots, with greater reliability, since the mindpool damage can not be as easily healed or circumvented as health/action damage.

the final category is a strafe 2 that does less than 50% of a target's ham in a single shot (the case against most armor, save jawa vs. composite, etc). in this case, you need 3 strafes to a single pool to incap, and may require as many as 9 shots to achieve that. furthermore, extra shots means extra time for you target to heal the damage done to health and action pools. clearly, master headshot is the way to go here, imo.

and obviously, the last case is an attack on more than 1 opponent. Strafe's AOE makes it the clear cut winner if you have multiple targets. My personal record is 4 incaps on a single shot, though i'm sure others have done much better.

fyi: i'm a master marksman also, so strafe2 is my aoe of choice. but, i agree with the guy who pointed outthat at rifle speed +90, flushing2 is a better DPS shot.
