Klaw....

I am at work and just take a few minutes here and there to read and post. Can you give us the "25 words or less" reason why you think this will be great for rifemen, please?

i think by "great effect" he means "serious impact"....

i see it as a major deal, since i can't go anywhere without muon (like every other MRM).

feel sorry for the imperial riflemen, though.. sounds like they get it worse than us rebs.

Unfortunately, but rightly, I think SOE will fix it so that Rebels get hurt by crackdowns worse than Imperials. I am Rebel and even I think the penalties as described are unfair. I hate to nerf myself, but in all fairness why are empire supporters penalized far worse than rebels?

So I am not looking forward to the crackdowns. However, besides master rifleman, I am also master smuggler, so I would also love to see some benefit to the smugglers in being able to "slide" past these crackdowns! It might be interesting making a living by "smuggling" illicit contraband by these Imps for others (for a nice fee, of course!). Unfortunately, that doesnt seem to be part of the plan.

Also.. I am not on test center... how much time do you get to respond to these guys? What happens if I whip out my bike and take off?

Heh, now I"m glad that I went slicer for a RP feel. I'll be one of the few rifleman that can stay on drugs without fear. It'll add an interesting environment but yes I agree that it will affect us more then other professions because doc buffs are nearly instantaneous, even when there is a line, compared to entertainer buffs for us and we need to use spice the way a pistoleer uses a stim. Not that it will matter though, the dev's will do what the devs will do.

In its current state I feel it will have a harsh effecton imperial Rifleman using sliced weapons and most of all our beloved spice. Without sliced rifles we're not nearly as close to other profession's damage outputs and spice well we're the only real spice dependent profession in the game. And from what I'm hearing Fishtak is leaving the game and I've yet to hear what will replaceit. I'm suggesting that rank void out the imperial scanning imperial senario in my post at that thread.

Rebel Rifleman should be ok considering they basically only get a TEF and don't spend as much time around Imperial npcs as imperial rifleman do.

Just my early morning 2 cents.

Will be worse yet, though, if, as some rumor claims, T21's, sliced or not, are 'contraband'.

If T21's are contraband, and if they change the plan to take your contraband, then I'm going down firing it!

Basically something like this will end the GCW. The complete lack of balance will result in the Rebel Alliance (players) vs the Empire (NPCs). I dont understand it at all. Balance, balance, balance, how many times have we heard these words from the devs? Yet, they can't see what a 500 fp hit will do to ruin the balance. I'll take a tef if I get caught with contraband, then let the ST (of lesser rank then me) kill me. So be it. Just DONT take 500 fp from me while my rebel counterparts are running around with sliced weapons, and armor hopped up on spice. Where is the closest rebel recruiter to Theed so I can give them a visit when this thing goes live. Then I can take the tef and farm the fp off of the weak st that is threatening me.

Ahh its aggravating to me.

Sorry about the rant.

Heh if T21s are contraband I'll be going rebel and taking my T21 with me.

It's a shame because here is a pefect example of how they could have made rank worth something, for imps at least. I fail to see why any high ranking Imperial officer would let a lowly ST scan them.

I've not seen anything "official" regarding the T-21 yet as contra.
