Thread: Input/advice on SEA's

I thought that it'd be nice to get the full +25 extra that is possible for skill mods on all Rifle-related mods. I put together a small list so far, but was wondering if I could get some input from the rifle community on what I may be missing that would be of the most benefit


So far I have come up with:


  • Rifle Accuracy

  • Ranged Defense

  • Melee Defense

  • Rifle Accuracy while Moving

  • Defense vs. KD

I have a +5 speed tape in use right now and a +12 speed/+16 CM effectiveness waiting to get fixed before I use it, so no need to add rifle speed to the list. Anything else good to have or just more Def. vs. status? Thanks!

You can never go wrong with Melee Defense

with as many people that are going rifelman, + to Stun damage should be apart of that list........

Thanks Seawolvz25, that slipped my mind (haha) as I knew some things would.


And duh, how can a Rifleman go without extra Block? I hope other are looking at this list and making themselves even more hated by all other professions


Any more neccessities?

blaster you sure about that? A master armor smith who sells 90% comp added this sea to his helm giving it a +25 to stun and was selling the helm for 5000000 saying that it added defense to stun damage.....if this is true about what you said I'll have to tell the guy so he won't make himself look like a fool......

well.. i could be wrong. here's my logic--


the stuff i've seen were be tissues or skill enhancing segments (tapes, plates, etc).


if so, they affect a skill only-- not a material property. we all have a skill called Defense against Stun (the state), and i'm positive that's what the BE tissue affects (+melee defense/+stun defense is how it's listed, i believe).


at any rate, i've not SEEN a skill enhancer that affected the material properties of armor.


I have seen loot items that affect the material properties of armor-- but, those are used during the craft, not applied later. in other words, we all can "plug" tapes and plates into sockets. only an armorsmith can use a krayt scale for it's properties, and that happens during the craft.


so, it depends on what the armorer in your case did, i suppose. it sure sounds like he added it to the socket. -- in which case, if he managed tochange the armor resistance, it'd be the first time i'd ever heard of it.

my bandlier is



+13 Block (in hopes they fix it at some time =p)


+6 Rifle Speed


+10 def vs kd


+5 Rifle accuracy while moving




Ubese shirt is


+5 Rifle Speed


+4 Block


+6 Rifle Accuracy


+7 Rifle Accuracy While Moving



Then again I dont have master marksman so I need at least +10 speed from my tapes



My belt is Melee/Ranged/State defenses but i forget exact bonuses off the top of my head




one thing you can never have too much of is def vs dizzy. Riflemans poor dizzy def is such a weakness that should be compensated for as much as possible.

it's a + to Defense against Stun.. won't affect stun-based damage in the least.
