I don't know. I like it. I rarely use concealshot anyways. Takes too much mind imo.
Everyone plays different.
If this is true and took away conceal shot to replace it with this one, then they actually made the profession harder. I use conceal shot all the time to take out stuff that I could never take out if it aggro'd on me. For example, conceal shotting Rancors. I hope the attack didn't disappear altogether.

havent tried it yet so not sure what tactical benefit it can be turned to but i cant think of anything but annoyance off hand.
this other ability is cool if they leave conceal shot...it'll be useful for drawing one enemy into the waiting sights of your buddies...but it'll need playing around with to get the right useage
It is true that concealshot has takesa while to use, but that is only true at the lower speed levels. As you go up in the Special Abilities branch, you pick up speed. By the time you hit master, you are firing concealshot very quickly.
But even if that was not true, I would much rather take 15 - 20 minutes to take out an ATST without a scratch than to fire two shots at it, get incapped, then killed, run back, and repeat as long as it stays there.
It is a matter of tactics and what you are shooting. Concealshot is not the end all shots just like Strafeshot2 is not the only shot to use in every circumstance. But that does not mean it is not of use just because it is slow.
Our highest damage attacks are AE anyway. With the same time, mind, and weapon decay you could have killed all 6 MOBs instead of the one.
Single pulling by applying a bleed and running 80 meters away worked pretty well last time I checked, so why would we need a new ability to do this, when every single class with a bleed shot can do this anyway?
And note it is a CHANCE. No group will rely on a chance to be overrun by all MOBs, and if you now hunt things that are way too high level for you because you rely on fighting them one-on-one, you'd better fight in underwear.
I fail to see a good job. I see effort wasted for something useless while they should have fixed our rifle damage types instead. This woul dnot have taken longer than implementing a new ability, I'm pretty sure of this.
With our new conceal chance rifleman have the abiltiy to pull a single agro out of a mob. This gives the rifleman the ability to concentrate his fire on only one agro without causing the rest of the mob to come after him. I am a Master so I am not sure how well this will work for the apprentice rifleman but it works very well for me. I pulled an entire group of nym pirates one at a time on lok.
I think the Devs actually did a great job on this one.
um... so our conceal shot got nerfed down to ( get killed by 1 creature instead of 10 shot )?

It just means you won't have to conceal over and over again.
This is great for a master.
