Thread: Is master rifleman enough?
I am sorry if this is a repeat post, I am new and any advice would be appreciated.
I decided on becoming a master rifleman. I also want master ranger so I will be unable to take master marksmen. As a master riflemen, will I be able to hold my own in PvP without and additional weapon skills?
I understand tactics and opposition make a difference, I am looking for a general answer.
Thanks

I'm going to have to say yes for the most part. In the limited duels I've had with some of my guildmates, I have usually come out on top, and I have no other combat skills except CH, but in these duels I did not use any pets. The only time I've lost so far was when my smuggler friend managed to knock me down+last ditched me, even then I almost managed to kill him.
Most Bounty Hunters now I think will be no problem as well, considering that in my experience if I see a bounty hunter, they do not have the investigation line, and thus will have no mitigation.
Now if you come across a fully-combat decked out opponent, you will probably have much more trouble, but that's how it should be.
Yes, it's enough. +90 speed vs +95 speed is not that big of a difference. It certainly helps, but what it really means is you can't stack multiple Aims per shot (some people are stacking 3 per shot). Personally I don't find stacking aims or even doing them is needed for the most part. It might be worthwhile if you are running around a lot.
But I would like to note that you should get the first ranged support box to get Aim though, as Riflemen we get a nice Aim bonus.
Incorrect - the difference is HUGE. Get a clue.
Try to aquire a +5 speed tabe, that should take care of that problem.
As far as the other weapon branches in the marksman tree.. I don't think you get enough out of those to help you out.

He is asking if it's enough to be good, not to be *uber*, I never said it doesn't make any difference or that it doesn't help, just *enough*. So the difference for the points to him is not worthwhile.
HUGE is your 0.36 seconds differenceusing a 7.3 T21? Please.
And what a freak, it isn't enough to state your oppinion you have to 1 star? How childish.
