Thread: New and Improved Kimos
Well, well, well, what I surprise I had last night. I heard about the changes to the Krayt before the patch hit but I didn't hear about the changes to Kimo's, and they did change. I used to be able to take down a Giant Dune Kimo by myself with a GSP tanking in about 30 seconds, since they were vulnerable to stun and I have a beefed up Jawa rifle. Those days are gone, I didn't have a chance to check all the different kind of Kimo's but I did kill a Giant Dune Kimo and here is the new stats on the Giant(maybe a little off since I'm doint this from memory)
100% res. to heat and acid
80% res. to energy and something else(can't remember, I think it was kinetic)
65% res. to stun, cold,...pretty much everything else
vulnerable to restraint (which I can't think of any weapon that deals that damage)
med. armor and I think about 80k HAMs
I started shooting at this thing with my Jawa rifle without examining it(since I was killing them before) and couldn't figure out what happened when he incapped me and wasn't hurt that bad. Examined him and had to come up with a new strategy. Still killed him it just wasn't my 30 second stun damage assault. So be careful out there, there are more changes than what was listed in the patch(or maybe I missed it?)
almost every critter in the game got revamped. examine em before you attack till you re-learn whats what. somethings are easier now some a lot harder.
Those voritors tht always gave me fits with 11k ham and 90% resit to energy and stun along with medium armor always gave me fits before but now with reduced armor and resits they are just as easy ans everything else
I think all the mission and pet type mobs got nerfed and the stuff that if sposed to be rare got insane increases.
translation: all weapons are getting a HUGE nerfing in the next 90-120 days :/ (thats my interpretation)
