Hi all, my T21 is at 676 / 1014. Would having it repaired now be good? Or should i wait?

Thanks

i have had good luck at 500 before but i have also had critical fails to so its a craps shoot either way ...

you can try playing it safe and repair at every -200 but you risk lowering your max condtion each time..

you can let go down to 200 and try and maybe youll will win..

but the way repair tools work theres no right or wrong answer just get your favorite lucky charm and have all your freinds dance around you while makeing a offering of a bloated chubba to the weapon repair gods .

This is why I stay away from the inredibly expensive weapons. You never know what will happen. Spend 100k on a Krayt Laser or 3 times that on a T-21? Why? so this random nonsense can screw it up? No thanks.

Just curious do artisans, or weapons smiths have any skill modifier to repairing weapons? Or is it simply determined by the repair tool and a dash of luck?

when reading different posts here I get the feeling that weapon repair is near random

oh, and somewhere I read that at 75%, 50% and 25%weapons lose max damage or something, but culd also be mistaken

i repair all my own weapons and i have access to 99.999% repair tools. i wait till i get the message that the weapon has dropped below 1/4 of its life to repair. i have yet to see any correlation between low durability and repair failure. i have done some experimenting with crap CDEF weapons at 899 of 900 durability and have had them break at the same rate as weapons below 25%.

artisan and weaponsmith skills dont matter as of right now but that can possibly change in a future update.

i never repair without having a backup weapon ready and i NEVER buy a weapon for more than 100k creds. anything more and your greatly spending more money than you can make with one before it breaks.

We already discussed this in detail in an earlier post. Try searching this forum...

But I'll sum it up for you (and all of this is from my very personal experience as a Master Weaponsmith, may be wrong,a nd is subject to stealth-nerfs and bugs at any time):

- Weaponsmiths get a huge bonus for the chance to repair it. Only let a Master WS repair your weapon

- Repair tools with 98+ % are easy to get. Bring your own tool, ask the smith to use this very tool. This is just playing safe

- I personally recommend repairing between 100 and 200 condition

- The percentage of weapons that I have repaired and destroyed in the process is very small. However, it CAN happen

- if you find a WS willing to repair your guns, put him on your friendlist and buy your guns there. Smiths that repair guns are hard to find (becuase obviously they have some interest in the fact that your weapon breaks). I personally believe that a lot of smith do not use high quality tools, oitherwise I can not explain the big difference between my success rate and the ones reported by some of my customers when getting repairs form other people

- If you find a very decent WS, he might give you at least one free repair for weapons that he made and won't charge you when the weapons breaks. When he asks for money for the repair, don't look how few resources a repair tool costs and tip him 100 credits. Tip what you feel appropriate (if he does not ask for a fixed price). Remember what your weapon would cost to replace...

I spent 175k on an krayt E11 rifle but that is because my serverdidn't have lasers / T21s, only for PvP use as well. I still use it over a laser now thanks to damage mitigation.

Normally repair whenweapons get below 200.
