Thread: Would I notice a +3 Speed attachment?
I have no clue how speed is calculated or whatever its formula is in SWG, so I have no clue. Atm I picked up a +3 riflespeed attachment and I was wondering if I should just use it or sell it.
The only reason I wouldnt sell it is if I could see a somewhat faster speed increase.
If anyone has any ideas, please post them as it will help greatly!
Thanks![]()
Rifle speed +40 reduces your speed by 40%.
You will only notice a +3 mod at rifle, because the difference between a 93% reduction and a 90% reduction is much bigger than the difference between a 53% reduction and a 50% reduction.
If you are on Flurry and don't want it, send me an email. I'll give you a lot for it.
That +3 skill attachment is a keeper, do not sell it if your going to master rifleman.
-BTW on the SS auction boards there a +25 Rifle Accuracy While Moving Skill tape, starting bid 10 mill, I say it's worth it and can anyone loan me 10 mil on Starsider?
Leana, That is exactly how it works. A +90 speed reduces the base speed of the weapon by 90%. That is why master riflemen shoot autofire at the speed cap with a slow T-21. They can shoot fast specials at the cap as well.
It is also the reason the devs are talking about upping the cap for rifles.

issnt it something like .1 secs. per every +1 rifle speed? so +.3 secs?
Read the rest of the thread before posting, it's been explained already.
Any +speed will have a significant effect at master; I got a +7 tape and I hit the 1.0 cap with every attack with any rifle with less than 9.6 speed.
exactly right...
at speed +50, a +5increase is negligible.
at master level speed (+90), a +5 increase doubles your shot speed, as you go from 1/10th listed to 1/20th.
i'm still amazed at how many people don't realize what an improvement master marksman is to master rifleman.
