I am a Master CM, 0440 doctor, and I have enough skill points to basically go up one line of rifle/pistol/carbine. I mainly want a good finishing attack on Mind-poisoned opponents, that I can fire very fast at good range. My initial tests show that pretty much every random pool shot, regardless of what pool it hits, does at least some damage to the mind, so it should incap a +1.

So my thought was this -- either get pistol techniques 4, plus the speed line, so I can spam fan shots to get multiple incaps, or get the rifle speed line, so I can use a T21 with normal shots every second.

So my questions are:

1. Is my speed assumption correct -- if I have all four blocks in the speed line, can I hit the cap with a T21?

2. Is there a good AOE special that I can get by going 2 or 3 blocks up another branch?

3. Should I go with pistol?

Pistol may be better for you(not too knowedgeable about them ), but I do believe with a speed sliced T-21 you can hit the cap on just autofire. If you want an AoE attack, Flushing Shot 2 may tickle your fancy. It's 3/4 up the Counter-sniping tree and our 2nd best shot (In my opinion)

Rifle is really not a good profession to just take a few blocks of.

To hit the cap with a T-21 you need master. At 0004 you will shoot about every 2.5-3 seconds.

You really need accuracy to be able to hit in PvP with a rifle. (sniper tree)

The 2 good AOE shots (short of master) are in tier 3 counter-sniper, and special abilities.

If you can only take a few blocks, you might be better off going carbine or pistol.

The rifle blocks of marksman will give you a mind shot and a mind bleed.

go pistol, or use the spray stick you mentiond before,

rifle has some nice AOE stat effects, Flurry2 (a lvl 3 skil) does dizzy, which combine with suppression 2, usualy results in stuff flopping around on the ground.

even with 0004, your going to be much slower than you like with anything but that spray stick. stick with the lazer rifle to, only people who can realy use a T21 well are high level riflemen (imho)

Well my PVP dream is to area mind poison a bunch of people, wait two ticks, and then take them all out with a single AOE shot. Probably won't work all the time with opponents who are awake, but one time in my career as a CM would be enough

thats right my friends mind poison spray stick, flury, supress, switch to lazer, flush and strfe my way to victory! ya, its nice, specialy when the medics cant heal people any more, and you can just head shot them one by one

wait a sec, how can I use supress2 if I'm not a carbineer?
