Im a noob to this profession. I made Mstr Marksman, and then went right to MCH. I love MCH but knew to survive in PvP I needed a bit more and my intent was to always master rifleman. So I grind it out doing creature missions, never really do an PvP (im trying to help my guild out by getting this done) so bear with me. If you were to give a quick tip sheet to a master rifleman who magically had the power, what tips would you give. I have delved into the FAQ forums, and its long a read fraught with opinions and not enough tips!

Give me the quick basics to make an impact, as a rifleman today!

Or point me to the best and quickest FAQ!

Im close to Master Rifleman, I know how to grind it out, not the issue. But by grinding it out doing creature missions I really gain no skill in tactic. I dont want to just PvP, but when the guild goes I want to go and make a diff, so i work out rifleman.

Basically its like becoming Superman, and not realizing you had heat vision until someon told you, you had it.

Make sense?

Oh ok.. makes sense now

Well basically if you already have Master CH or any CH you can apply the same skills you are using now in your Group situations as well.. Our AOE specials are great in PVE and PVP.

Plus if you are grouped with aBH you can take down mobs quicker by both concentrating on the Mind Pool, that's worked really well for me on group hunts/missions. Just make sure you use some Entertainer buffs and/or a combination of foods ( Ryshcate , Breath of Heaven, Fishnak ) so that your specials don't drain your mind to the point you have to leave combat for huge lengths of time.

PVP is a different story, you are now up against a real thinking opponent and it's really up to you how you use your skill set. Pets are really fairly worthless in PVP but one tip I can give you is keep as far away from melee professions as you can.. We have 0 knockdown defence and if you get knocked on your butt you can kiss it goodbye, especially if you have been dizzied as well. Sniper Shot rocks group PVP.. hehe

There's a heck of a lot of tips that I use from our FAQ and other sticky's, I don't know how you missed em hehe!

Rifleman can own just about anything in PvE with a little tactics. In PvP were up there with the best, but you have to be prepared. Buffs and muon gold are your friends, be sure to use them. Armor realy isn't worth while for a rifleman unless your master buffed all pools and got the food/spice to go with it. Make sure you stay as far away from the enemy as possible and spam strafe shot 2 if you have it. If you have some good distractions like melee people or anyone that gets in the enemies face you'll be suprised at how many people will go down from your AoEs and once there down just pick em off with sniper shot. Well hope that helped.

Be fully buffed, all Doctor and Musician/Dancer buffs.

Use pets as a distraction, they are not really good for much else in PVP.

Move around alot, a still combatant is a dead combatant.

Don't not take all the kills with sniper shot, even though you incapped the targetothers kept him from noticing you.

Kill TKA's everyone else has a problem with them but us(maybe Carbineer can deal with them too, not sure)

If you want to solo PVP dump CH and pick up a melee profession Or you could try Doctor.

-If you want PVP as a main focus join a guld that focuses on PVP and has tactics, a smart PVP guild can beat any group of pickup PVP'ers.
