Thread: if i only had enough pts to get one column of rifleman
thats tough question cause at the novice level Rifleman really sucks. every tree has its trade offs.
the Sniper tree you get some PvP stuff ie sniper shot, thats the highlight. also one of the mind shots is in this tree
the concealment tree has concealshot and ranged damage mitigation. concealshot is a staple for rifleman that solo.
the Hunter tree (really bad name) gives you the dizzy/stun shots either AoE or single creature.
the Solider tree is where your speed is. if you ant to be anywhere near effective you are going to want a faster gun. it seemed like the t21 took 2 mins between shots.
well the server is loading otherwise i'd be more procise on the info. it all depends on your style of play.

Very well said.
For PvE conceal is a no brainer. However, anything short of master rifle will either make you want to drop it or master it.
There is a catch 22 with conceal shot. If you miss twice in a row, they're coming for you. That might be fine against grauls, but high level nightsisters and such will have you for dinner. Only having one tree in rifleman will cause you to miss quite a bit.
Im not sure exactly what the rest of your template looks like, but pick a weapon and master it. Damage mitigation 3 and a bunch of ranged defense means a VERY long lifespan in comparison. Trust me, you want this.
You came to the right forum. People here are amongst the friendliest and most helpful.
Any way you go, I'd get Conceal Shot first, then use that to help level what ever path you want.
So go 0100, then lets say you're looking to PVP, go 3100, get enough XP for the fourth tier of Sniper, drop Conceal shot, and train. Voila, you're 4000 and much easier than if you had gone straight up the Sniper branch.
Least that's my view. Some will say that the SNiper branch will allow you to kill high level stuff quickly, and maybe, but I'd a big fan of Conceal Shot. My rate of gaining XP since that nifty little skills has gone fivefold, easily, while my death rate has drop to a quarter.

@Wabit,3 errors. The concealment tree is the hunter tree, the tree you called hunter is the gunner tree, and our Dizzy shot is in the Soldier tree not the Hunter.
Besides all that great way to sum it up.
@ Original poster, I suggest going to a diffrent profession, the rifle is really something you need to master.
I kinda agree with the previous posters...
I recommend you get 0100 for Conceal Shot, then if you have enough pts, go 0030 for the Flushing Shot 2. You dont end up with a full tree, but you have 2 of the best pre-master shots available.
