Thread: Master Rifleman is....
Incredible.
Just made it the other day. Of course the first thing I had to do was try out StrafeShot2. So I used it against some Pikets. It was great. Running around with six Pikets streaming behind me spamming StrafeShot2. Took them down without taking to much damage.
The speed increase is also incredible. In the past my tactic was MindShot1, MindShot2, peace, pull back, WarningShot. Well I did this just by clicking the icons from the interface. Now I'm firing faster than I can click that sequence. Guess I'll have to set up a macro for it. ![]()
Another thing I did notice the other day (while working towards Master) is that I was missing a lot more than before. Using same weapons and fighting the same targets. Was there a change recently that I missed? Did they maybe boost the Ranged Defense of MOBs maybe?
Congrats and now that your a master, macros are your friend.
I got a flurry+supression macro, Warning+Peace macro, Mind1+2 macro, and a slew of others I can't remember. We really need to use a macro because it takes too much time to hit each seperate hot key.
Also Buffs are your friend.Yes we know mind buffs are, but so are Stregth and Quickness. Fully buffed you should use very little HAM if any at all.
Now you are in for the funest part of the profession, doing what you want not what you have to. Man I gotta do atleast 20 Baz Nitch missions today I gotta get sniper 3, instead it's Should I go to fort tusken and try to get a legendary Tusken Rifle or should I kill some Dark Jedi Masters on Dantooine? Lot's more fun than grinding.

I use Breath of Heaven and Ryscake (sp?). Using that combo I can keep my HAM costs well down into the reasonable levels in the vast majority of the cases.
I'm working on the pre-reqs for Commando now. So I'm still grinding.
But I decided to take a break to explore and try out Rifleman for a bit first.
Good suggestion on the macro combos. I'll be making some next time I'm on.
Congrats on master.
As the Pikets go, if you're a muon junkie it is very easy now. I always take the 9400cr Piket Walker missions and do the following:
1. Go prone at about45 meters from lair (I'll explain the distance in a minute)
2. On the original (existing) spawn, use Conceal Shot to take out the Piket Walker and one Piket.
3. Use Strafe Shot2 to finish the other Piket. (May have to let mind heal just a bit)
First spawn done.
4. One-shot the lair.
5. If you are ready when they spawn, the Pikets spawn justenough seconds apartthat you
can kill one with Strafe Shot 2 just as the next one spawns so they don't agro.
6. So be ready and pick them off one at a time as they spawn.
Same strategy for third spawn.
The reason I go prone at45 is because they often spawn behind the lair a little bit, and if you're 40-50 meters away, they usually spawn in range so you dont have to move at all. (Okay, so maybe I'm just lazy!)
Lair is done in usually 4-5 minutes. You get to lie on ground and dont have to run around.
Since you usually have some time left on you Muon upper, head to next lair, back for more missions, or just hunt the area til it's done.
Too bad we can't whip out a couch, lie back, and shoot them that way. That's what it almost feels like!
