Hello just joined the ranks of the famed Riflemen (**edit**ing need a T21 now )

I had enough Combat XP from my Pistoleer days, to train Rifle Abilities I (Flurry Shot). Now common sense tells me that a Flurry Shot followed by Suppression Fire macro would make sense. Dizzy followed by posture change to KD. However, doing an advanced search on the subject I found this no longer seems to work, thetarget gets up after 2-3 seconds and dizzy is gone. Also, however, the last post I found on the subject was dated late October.

So

I'm wondering what your thoughts on using this macro now are...

Is it good? If so on what target types?

If not, are either effective shots? or should I just remove them now from my toolbar and save myself from testing them?

Much appreciated

As far as I know, it should still work. But, supression shot is on a timer now, I think, and it doesn't always work.

Other than that, flurry shot is your best to level with in my opinion. Get ina group, get a damage sliced t-21, and spam away. You fire slow enough not to kill your self, and the ap bonus should make sure you get a healthy chunk of the exp.

Flurryshot to Dizzy + SuppressionFire may cause a KD, but do not count on it.

1) Some targets have resists to Dizzy, KD, or posturechangesor even all three.

2) Even when they do not,Dizzy, posture changes, and KD after a posture changes are chances to happen, so even if you hit them, the effect may not stick.

3) KD while Dizzy does not occur because you changed their posture. KD due to dizzy after a posture change will only occur if they voluntarily change their own posture.

4) Dizzy has virtually no effect on anything but humanoids. Critters can be made dizzy, but even if you KD them with some other move, they can stand back up even when the are dizzy.

Thus, you may hit them, and they may resist the dizzy. If they get dizzy, they may resist the posture change. If they change posture, they may not stand back up on their own. If they do stand back up on their own, they may resist the KD from the Dizzy. And even if the dizzy sticks, if the posture change fails or fails to knock them down, you cannot do another posture change on them for 30 seconds.

In short, you can try it, and once in a while, you may get it to work, but with so much going against it, do not count on this as anything more than a longshot.

That is the bad news. The good news is that ranged NPCs like to change posture on their own a lot. Thus, if you can get a dizzy to stick on them, even without trying to force a posture change, you will see it work on them often enough to at least make it worth trying for the amusement.

You will actually be better off with Flurryshot2, which is dizzy with Area Effect. This gives you a better chance of triggering a KD from the Dizzy because you can Dizzy multiple targets at once.

I have hit a group of NPCs with Flurryshot2, had the group aggro on me, run and pick them off as I kited them, then return and found one of them still laying on the ground, KD'ed from the original shot.
