Has anyone used the dead-eye serum? As a novice rileman, I need all the aiming helpI can get I completed the Rebel story line and have some alderaan flora. I am assuming you need to have some crafting skill to make it (artisan?) but have been unsuccessful in determining what I need to do. I have spent some time looking for the answer, but to no avail (naturally I am sure I looked in all the wrong places). I amprobably posting this in the wrong forum, please forgive if that is the case. I figured if anyone had used it, the people here would know. Thanks for your time...

it requires a doctor/medic (doctor is your best bet because they have the most expermintation points)

and can increase your accuracry by about 80-100% over it's current raiting (so think of each %point to function like a +1 in actuall game terms.

if you're on flurry i'll make it for you if you'd like

To make it, you need:

1) A schematic, which can be obtained from the recruiter.

2) A food and chemical crafting tool (I could not find the schematic on my generic tool).

3) Ingredients: Alderaan flora, water, radioactive, and metal (if I remember correctly).

Stir in a large bowl...oops...wrong recipe.

I have Medic 0 1 0 0, and I can craft them. A doctor and quality ingredients would probably get higher potency through better experimentation.

oops, and you too Sotaudi...

I keep getting an error msg from the recruiter, something to the effect that they can't access my datapad. It isn't full, I just figured it was because I lacked the skill. I do appreciate the ingredient list though!

Do you have medic? If not, it may be the skill thing. I had no problem obtaining the schematic, but I do have medic.

However, be aware that the act is bugged somewhat. For one of the missions, the quest giver sent me to Dathomire to talk to someone, and, of course, the waypoint was right next to an aggressive creature spawn. In the middle of the conversation, one of the critters wandered two close, and it killed the guy before I could kill it. I had to go back and get a new waypoint, and for the rest of the act, I kept getting that "can't access your datapad" error when I would talk to someone for the next mission. But the odd thing was that, despite getting that error, I alwaysgot the nextmission waypoint, and I was able to complete the Act anyway.

Something like that could be happening to you. Check your datapad and see if the schematic is there even though it gave you that error. It could be that it gave it to you the first time, but because of the bugs, you got the message, and that from then on, you were getting the message because the schematic is in your datapad already. Just a thought.

I am have no medic, but am a master artisan, I was able to get the schematic and craft the dead-eye, but what I produced was crap and didn't affect my accuracy by very much, I always got that error in the act (every time my mission was updated) but was still able to complete it.

So wait, is this a permanent thing or what? I just assumed it was like a temporary buff, but if it's a permanent accuracy boost, I'm dropping my quenker missions and heading to the coordinator.

As far as i can tell, it doesnt work. Made several sets and fully experimented out effectiveness.. Best set was 46% effective, with 3 charges each. It actualy seemed to make me LESS acurate. Guess the devs misplaced anouther decimal point. Ya know.. this isnt rocket science.... Wait... NASA did it too.. Ohh well, perhaps it will be fixed when the food patch goes in.
