Hope anyone can answer this question:

Would it be possible to attack kryats and other big mob with normal or special atacks if you are in cover state? im bothan and have +10 or 15 to cover and have +17 cover from skill tapes, Atm.kryats agro me but would it be possible if i reached +25 from skill tapes?

I know conceal shot always works but what about the other atacks.

sure you can attack them from cover for about 3-4 shots before they get agitated and come eat you.

cover doesnt enhance maskscent or concealment. i think your getting it confused with one or both of those. cover only improves your chances to not get hit by ranged attacks. mask scent and concealment do not let you fire as much as you want against a target. the only shot that does that is concealshot until you miss twice.

I swear krayts hate me- warp right on top of me from 65-ish meters out without a single missed conceal...

/sigh

Barb, ya ever try using it from 75m? They give a - to hit mod or whatever at that range. Can you hit them from that far out due to their size? Never tried myself...

Conceal shoting krayts takes way too long. I tested something on a kimo thou.

1 Lay down.

2 Mindshot 1+2.

3 Hop on the speed and speed away.

4 Wait 5 minutes.

5 Start at one till mind is at 1, then give it a head shot.

Thats a lot less risk cause the krayts walk around a lot and if they get too close the will attack no matter is you a using conceal or not.

i dont conceal shot krayts

i did manage to kill one just using a gurreck bleeds and attacks when i can. when the gurreck ran low on health i would call him back heal him fast then send him back. took me close to an hour and a half to kill the krayt solo that way. probably wont do it again.

my prefered method is teaming up with another CH and a Doc and rotating buffed pets in and out with me and the doc healing its easy to swap pets and keep the krayt full occupied. the juveniles seem to give the same drops as the adults so im not sure taht going after the 230k ham full growns is worthwhile.

the problem with concealshot on endgame mobs is that you get a bleed every once in awhile... it only hits for a 1 point but it is an instant agro...

the bleed and run, works untill the MOB warps on you, it also takes quite awhile to bleed off 350k HAM... and if someone esle jumps on your dragon, bleeds don't count towards damage... so there is the possablity of loseing it that way....

or it could just despawn...

i use the same tactics as Barb for the big game, anything over a juvy i need help with killing...
