I havecountersniping III(flurryshot2)

and I have 5 skillpoints left for 1 other skill box...

should I get:

  • intermediate sniping(+10 accuracy, +15 aiming, +15 concealment, and mindshot2)

  • intermediate special abilities(+10 melee defense, +10speed, flurryshot1)

  • intermediate tactics (ranged defense, cover, ranged mitigation, conceal shot)

what do you think is the best use of my last 5 skillpoints?

thanks for your opinion.

depends really on how you want to play the profession. I like to solo alot so I'd probably pick
tactics for conceal shot... but I"ll tell you the accuracy from the sniping tree is nce to have too.

Nothing more frustrating than getting into position and then miss, miss, miss, miss and have all the creatures aggro you.

That's a good point.

I should probably mention that I am a MCH and I will always have a "tank" in front of me.

What does conceal shot do exactly?

Go accuracy, your not gonna notice a 10% speed reduction anyway. You might notice a little extra accuracy and Mind Shot 2 is always nice.

Honestly, i would say neither, and go with pistols. Rifle just plain isn't any good without master. Master has a huge acuracy increase, and most importantly, the speed bonus. It just isn't worth taking all the mind damage from rifles without hitting and doing massive quick damage. Thats just my opinion. If you told us what you were doing with the rest of your points, i might consede that dabbleing in rifle is worth while, but my official stance on the matter is master rifle, or don't waste your points.

I am going to do MCH and Bio-Engineer (which requires a lot of mind pool when sampling dna)

Also, I'm a zabrak with a willpower of 700-900 unbuffed.

So, it seemed logical to me to use my remaining skillpoints on Rifleman (or swordsman) because of the mind thing.

no?

=/

I'd go for the accuracy.

Zabrak only has 500 focus unbuffed.

yeah, you're right.

I meant to say "willpower" - I'll edit the other post.

So, I can have 1000/500/900 mind stats unbuffed... and since I only have enough skill points to "dabble" with a weapon skill, would you agree that it would make more since to dabble with rifle than pistol, or no?

I'm asking because I haven't gone past rifle 4 yet, so I don't know howeffective a "dabbling" rifleman would be compared to anything else.

Actually I'd recommend "dabbling" in pistoleer. Why? Because as a Master BE -- you need to get close to the target to sample DNA. Yes as a Master CH you can have your pets tank for you. But dabbling in rifleman does not align itself with the other professions you have choosen.... sample... and if the creature aggros... run out to rifle range and then shoot? Seems like you'd bebetter off with a close range weapon.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Whoops sorry... meant swordsman instead of pistoleer (guess someone else put in pistoleer and I re-read your post about Rifleman vs Swordsman).

Reply well as for getting some combat skills for when sampling goes wrong ide say dont waste ure time. Cause usually ude be dead before u know it. As for swordsman u reilly need to be master to dispose of anything ugly swiflty actually.

I'm a MBE and used to be MHS but now lvling CH so i can toy armound with the stuff I make. So guess what ive picked on rifleman aswell just to be able to deal some minor damage, for stylish reasons ( read tl21 ) only reilly

Still havent decided what part of the tree im gonna lvl up tho so im afraid I wont be of any good to u

ok i know u might be set on rifleman causeu like it as do all of us in here

I am currently master ch rifleman 4021 and i have novice doc..

I am working my way towards dropping ch when i max out all my rifle exp. However i would tell ya that rifleman and ch do not go well together. Just for one example.. when u are hunting you are 50+ or so meters away from your target but more inportantly 50m from your pet so if you pet is about dead and u wannt throw a heal on it before you are next u have to run up to your pet and then run back especially if you are not going to have concealment. That is my biggest annoyment. Also a carbineer or a pistol is more flexable than rifleman imo. So if you are just wanting to have some combat to go along with your artisan which i can understand i would go for pistol skill and get a nice knock down shot
