I am starting a rifleman when I get done with my Holo profession. **edit** what a powerful class. I was tooling around on my server looking for some deals and ran across a faction party where everyone was killing everyone so I decided to join. I had dropped my Mastered weapon profession of swordsman to pick up a holo profession of pistoleer and was not strong at all but I figured it would be fun and my pets would get a few kills atleast.

I targeted a character and started to engage with my pets and me blasting my weak ass bleeds and chest shot lol. My pet sstarts in on him and is doing a good job he starts running I am just scratching him as expected. So I am running he is running my pet is point blank and I am no more than 25m from him and he pops off Advanced strafe it hits my pet for 4750 points hits me for 1205 points and another person I guess near for 1300 + , granted I have full set of composite on other than my arms and it hits me full on no armor protection. He pops off another shot for 1205 and a head shot to finish me off this happens in a matter of seconds no more than 10 max.

Is that not pure power or what. He is running I am running so he has to have minus to hit up the wazoo regardless of master or not. He hit a pet for nearly 5k at point blank and me for 1200 pvp that is great dmg.

Hehe... yes... well, what can I say? Strafe Shot rules. It can be a long grind however, and you will find that it is not all glory until you reach master. Get to 0.0.3.0 as fast as possible. That is the first hint of true rifle power. Build the third and fourth trees and leave the second tree til last. (Well, conceal shot is very nice, but I dont remember where in the second tree it is).

but the grind is a hard one for rifleman.....seriously..but Im not a pet owner..no siree call me the sniper/ranger who hunts on his own...totally independant =)

it will be easier on you with a few pets...but the power you saw...was from a master rifleman, and thats almost a new profession compared to the boxes below

conceal is intermediate concealment tactics (0/1/0/0). i use it to pick off adults before going in to tame tough babies. good shot. but, you're on the money.. countersniping is where it's at. i'm about to master rifleman on my second character (primary, in fact). love the class

I love rifleman so much I'm gonna master a second one on the TC.

i hit master 2 days ago. Its taken me almost 4 months to master it. The difference after that last box is like night and day. Up until now i've dismissed rifleman as any good for PvP and relied on my CM skills to deal my damage. After hitting master rifleman i think i may be able to hold my own, the the HAM costs are high. With my focus at 500 it still pulls 200 off my mind bar for adcanced strafe shot. I only use it when i know whatever im fighting would kill me before my autofire could take it out.
