Does block work? Whilst I was a master pistoleer i could Dodge quite frequently against people in PvP - except against peeps with an elite mastery, where it would never happen. I've been follow with interest the pistoleer/fencer combo which doubles the Dodge ability mods and makes it possible frequently with anyone. So my question is this - should i go rifleman/pikeman to up my defensive and Block mods? To be honest i think i have only blocked once or twice as a master Rifleman and am doubting it works at all

No, block don't work.

If it did work I'd be goin Master Pikeman too.

Have we had any news on it being fixed - from what i gather...block and dodge = the same thing, different name and animation though - is that right? If so maybe we should shout louder about it...no doubt the size/loudness of the pistoleer community is what got it working for them,

We are not sure how it's supposed to work, I assume it's a dodge like ability but could be wrong. As far whean are they going to fix it, probably a long time in the future after the Dev's rework the combat system.

Bleh, bloody SOE, screwed up my plan of going rifle/pike + tka meditate, think i may go master brawler/master TKA/ master rifle until they fix it,

In the log i get the message i blocked but i still get the damage.

block takes away half the damage, i believe.

Strange I'm very low in Rifle like at 2(or 3),1,1,1 and I do block... I even blocked my TKA friend when he was going to finish me off. But of course he hit me only half a second later incaping me.
