ok im new to rifleman just a novice atm but at what point do we actually begin to hit the target with any reliability? i currently am missing almost 4 out of 5 shots, using /aim as well, i guess what i really want to know is the skill box order i should go in order to be the most effective at these early lvls

I personally find that Aim doesn't work at all, and I actually miss more often when using Aim when not. Make sure if you can that you are in a prone position at your rifle's ideal range (64m for most rifles). Then, assuming the target is standing still, you should get a modifier of anything between +30 and +50... frankly you can't miss with that

Good luck, have fun

As the other poster said. Go prone and set up at about 60m if using a Laser Rifle. If not check the ideal range for the weapon you are using and see what the accuracy mod is for it at ideal.

When I was starting rifleman I used Aim fairly often and never had any problems with it from kneeling or prone.

Also what are you hunting? As part of the combat changes I think they increased some defensive bonuses for MOBs. I know I'm seeing a lot more counter-attacks and such. Figured they would also increase the defensive bonuses for some if not all too.
