Thread: Rifleman Shoots
Ok there is a few post on here that give the modifers (Time, Dmg, hams) for the diffrent shots we can do, they all give diffrent numbers. So i went to alll the fans sites listed on the sony SWG web site.No 2 sets where they same. Is there any way we can get the real number? or even better could they put them in the ingame description for each move.
Over all what i really want to know, is:
in PvP: what shots are useful and why?
In PvE: what shots are useful and why? Also which shots should i use for holo hunting in the imp underground base, people have told me diffrent things.

Depends. What weapon are you using? What kind of armor is your target wearing? A safe bet is StrafeShot2. It has a good damage multiplier and by the time you get it your weapon speed will be as low as it can. SniperShot will let you DB an opponent from distance.

Again this will be situation dependent. If you solo (no pets) then ConcealShot is great to have against creature MOBs. Against NPC types then FlurryShot is good for the dizzy effect. You can sometimes get them to fall over making them easy targets.
The AoE attacks such as FlurryShot2 (dizzy), FlushingShot2 (stun), and StrafeShot2 are good for groups of aggro MOB's.
For the base you can use ConcealShot if you aren't likely to have MOB drawn towards you. If others are hunting there and draw an NPC onto you then it can hurt. The AoE attacks should work well here too. Since once you attack they will all aggro you should be able to hit multiples of them rather easily.
PVP- Use your mind bleed to open then use headshot2, if you have Muon gold of decent Mind food. Why headshot2 and not headshot3? because hs2 's Mind cost is much lower than hs3's and the damage you get from hs3 is not much better than hs 2's. Don't pvp unbuffed or without food in you. No riflemen out there who is succesfull in pvp goes out unprepared. One more tip for pvp as a riflemen, Don't wear armour It wound dumb but think about it, Only a combat medic can heal the mind and very poorly at that, your going to be dropping people so quickly they Might get off 7 shots if thier lucky. That won't kill you buffed just keep your mind high with Spices, food, musician or dancer buffs to avoid the same tactic and the only class you'll have trouble with is maybe a BH with thier eyeshots and perhaps a commando with flame2.
Fight on your own terms, A riflemen should not be fighting IN buildings keep em at 64m thats your effective range. if they get close and thier melee you will feel the sting of the 2.5melee dmg penalty. Also Check your rifles effective range , as each one if different.
