Holocron said master commando - so for a while I had both. Had to drop one or the other so I could do my next holo (tailor).

I dropped commando like a stone. There is no tactical flexibility in that profession. Your entire arsenal is basically flame single 2.

People say that the heavy weapons and rocket launchers are good in PvP. No they are not. Slow rate of fire and they miss constantly. Get used to being a master rifleman, then switch to master commando and watch three rockets miss ina row, after which you get creamed. No thanks.

Once I finish my holo grind I think I'll add TKM. But I'm never giving up the rifle.

So if any of you are undecided, go ahead and give commando a try. Maybe it was just me. But I think you'll find that although you can deal massive damage in exactly one circumstance, it is a pretty unimpressive profession given you have basically one short range attack and nothing else.

My holo said commando too. It was the profession I started off wanting to do but at the time they were hopelessly broken. Kind of tired of crafting, casual gamer and constant harvester runs, relocating for new resources, etc takes up to much of my limited online time. Going to drop my Master Arch and go Commando for now.. I'm close to Master Rifle (4/2/3/3). I have no intention of dropping it once I get Master. Not sure what I'd do though if the holo told me BH.

I used my T21 bleeds to help level to flame IV. Then I found I could just stand there with novice medic and flame single 2 bols and pikets - they miss a lot, thanks to our defensive mods. I rarely got incapped, and of course they don't deathblow. So it is a relatively easy grind.

Also, a lot of the player cities on Dant have commando trainers, so that cuts down the time to level up.

Talk to Rekk about the joys of commando - he's got a thread on Wanderhome about dropping it too.

I was planning on doing something like that. Right now I bleed and warning shot to keep it away. Works well and figured I'd do the same to get the heavy weapons XP. Also for the Carbineer and Unarmed I'll need for novice.

I'll have to check on the Commando trainers on Dant. I was planning on moving there anyways.

Yea, I saw Rekks post.
