Thread: Holo Says Rifleman... How do I get started?
The little blue box sez to master the Rifleman profession...
So, after being a pure crafter, I need to know how to get started with the following:
1. Stat Migration
2. Best Weapon to use
3. Best way to grind Rifleman XP
Thanks in advance!
#1 Mind and Focus are your New Best Friends... as well as Breath of Heaven, Ryschake, and Mueon Gold.
#2 Best Rifle you are Certificated with, I started out with a nice DLT20a with a Speed Slice that Worked me through alot. Though, you Should Carry about 1 of each kind. for the different Damage Types and AP. Laser Rifle, is pretty much my weapon of choice.
#3 Grind out Missions, with a group.. or at least Someone, or Pet to tank.
Good luck...
Thanks! Been using a decent Laser Rifle with powerups and will work on my stat migration next.

If you are on a crowded server I would suggest going to Dathomir and teaming up with groups for Rancor missions to build up your XP.
Laser Rifles are a good choice. Until I got my T21 I always used a Laser Rifle. Find the best weaponsmith on your server and buy at least 2-3 Lasers to start with and go grinding.
I also find Spraysticks are a good choice for enemies that come too close.

1: For stat migration, That depends if you plan utilizing doc buffs or all on your own with or without armor.
I would migrated what every extra you have to willpower focus and most importantly mind.
2: Best Weapon depends on your cert, and what your like using.
I'm a fan of the Dlt20a, E11 rifle and the jawa ion.
Dlt20a for starting out, until you can get a laser rifle, then soon as you get e11 or jawa cert feel free to use them as needed. they both don't hit as hard as the laser but your average damage output is good, aka you won't waste 62 mind for a 120 damage headshot2 out of a laser rifle
Don't forget the spraystick and Sg82 , the spray stick is your speed damage at lower lvls, good mid range (30-40m) to hit mods. lower damage output.
e11 + laser = ar2
Jawa + Tusken = ar1
rest = ar0
T-21 = ar3
3: Best way to grind. (marksman rifle 1-4) The biggest non BAF creature you feel comfortable handling. I was a big Ikopi, kaadu hunter back then.
(Marksman rifle to novice rifleman)
As you move up I would also suggest Rori, tortons, nudfuhs, and squalls (leviasqualls too)
Basically anything that you can run circles around and they cant get to you.
(Row 1 rifle boxes)
Concealment 1 when you can get to it, same as novice rifleman grind, but if you think you can take more try out some bigger creatures. This gives your Conceal Shot your best shot for a while (other than headshot2 of course)
Here is where some folks here agree and disagree, you can jamn up to counter-sniping 3 for flushing2 or work up to sniping 2 for headshot3.
Flushing 2 or flurry2 are your first AOE attacks, now that might sound sweet, but you can get in a whole mess of trouble very quick if your not carefull. Mess around with it and find out how it works best for you.
other than that, play with what method makes you happy and content with a rifle in your hands. What works for me might not work for you. As you feel your experiance grows move on to the advanced planets and have yourself some fun.

Flurry shot doesnt do damage to the area of targets, just one, but it dizzies the whole area,
That is not quite correct. You have to "evoke" targeting from them on you to get damage. Sequence I use:
- tab, evaluate target
- Flurryshot2,Flushingshot2
- go to #1. skip all invalid targets.
Most times on social the first shot get them all evoke them to target you, making the very next AoE hit them (and damage them) all.
