Thread: Stackable Block Rifleman/Pikeman

Will the 'block' passive defense stack while holding a rifle if one is also a pikeman?


And if so, how well will this really work,, and does it make pikemana viable melee class to go if your a rifleman?

Couple things...


Are they nerfing stacking things like dodge, block, counterattack? From what Ive been reading on this board. Ya.


Does block actually work? No

No they are not nerfing it - yes it does stack. if you have master rifle and pikeman 0040 you have +165 block, which is in effect whenever you are holding a 'block' weapon (rifle or polearm).


Unfortunately yeah it's completely broken ! omg i have never blocked anything, although today when i was fighting some thug i counterattacked eventhough i have no counterattack skills whatsoever.


I wish they'd fix block, that is my personal number one issue.


Dodge for example, works. Pistol dodge and Fencer dodge stack, and they also work.


Counterattack works also. Carbine and Swordsman counterattack stack, and they also work.


If they'd just fix Block and leave everything else alone I'd be a happy camper.

I think it will get nerfed eventually. It works just TOO good. Try hitting a master fencer/pistoleer. There is a reason they are the new FOTM.

Possibility of them adjusting it so they don't stack aside.....


Am I the only one that's really confused as to why Rifle got paired up with Pike on the defensive end? Rifle/Sword and Carbine/Pike seem to make a lot more sense when factoring in how they alreadystack offensively.

I agree, I thought of mastering pike to go with my rifle for the block bonus, but I don't want the pike attacks. Why would I want bleeds on the action pool to go with rifle? Why would a carbineer want mind bleeds from swordsman? I think the devs were drinking too much the night they integrated block and counterattack, they got them backwards. Now I have to figure which one I will work on. Or maybe I will just mix TKA and Fencer for mods.
