Thread: Master Rifleman!!
Hey everyone. I made master rifleman a few days ago and I am loving it. Let me tell you some about my character before I went rifleman.
I used to be a bounty hunter/pistoleer. About a month ago this was a great combo! And it still has some power, but I don't think its as good as it used to be. Theres two reasons for this. One is the scatter nerf. Scatter pistols aren't as good. Second is the players started countering eyeshot with great composite helmets! Instead of doing hundreds of damage I would average... maybe 100 per shot against a good player.
I could take over Anchorhead solo with some buffs though. I had lots of fun but beating anyone did get boring after a while. So I decided to work on Jedi. I found my first holocron, and it said master musician! Of course I could not master musician because I only had a few skillpoints left. So I dropped everything. I dropped BH, pistoleer, most of scout and most of marksman.
I still wanted to do pvp though so I decided to master an elite profession. This way I could fight and work on holo professions. I was bored of pistols, and I knew carbine has horrible ham costs so I chose rifleman. A choice I do not regret at all.
If you are a new rifleman let me give you some tips. First off don't pvp until you are master. When you reach master you will be a very versatile, elite killer who can drop someone in three seconds. Yes you do have weaknesses though but if you play careful and pay attention you will be one uber mofo.
The best way to master rifleman is to get CH first. Get enough CHs kills so you can use a greater sludge panther. These sell for about 20k on Chilastra. Then go to Dantoooine and run picket missions. Let your GSP tank and you can shoot down the pickets. Stock up on pet stims too because you will need them. Get Flushing Shot 2 as fast as you can. This is a great special for getting XP. First off it is an AOE attack so you damage all the pickets in an area. Let them all gather around your GSP, spam flushing shot 2 and soon you have some dead pickets. Roughly 3k-4k xp per picket. Stock up on pet stims because you will need them.
Once you reach master rifleman you are ready for pvp. I am having so much fun with master rifleman. Definately worth the grind. I love sniping Rebels on the northern hill by Anchorhead. You can stand up there, 60m away, and kill them before they even know whats happening. Then deathblow with sniper shot. I do this all the time and never even get shot back. Sometimes I get tells saying "Where the hell were you?" or "How did you do that???".
I just got master rifleman last night as well 
yay me using the same method you did but i am also working on CH so i had 2 GSPs and would use one to attack the lair and the other to guard me while i attacked the lair and all the surounding pickets with AoE shots. Because i had all that combat xp built up rifleman went insanly fast IMO i mastered it in under a week.
First thing i did after making master was get a buff and go to bestin. I did much better than my BH toon (4442) ever did i killed 3 good pvp guys at the same time in 2 shots I just wish there was a comperable place for me to snipe imps at

Congrats. I got Master Rifleman for my first holo, and it sounds fun. I am a 3-3-2-3 CH and 1-1-3-2 Rifleman. I am going to go do those pikets until I master. Thanks for all the good info!

Probably Strafe 2....or flushing 2....both nice tough area attacks.
Stafe 2 was it got some super nice rolls some of them it seemed but this was my first pvp encounter as a master rifleman so that might be normal. Most of the times previously ive been around rifleman in pvp they have been busy killing my BH toon lol
