Thread: concealshot
Great!! many thanks
so, if i understood right, with concealshot you can fire more than the three times w/out being aggroed as long as you hit... so, and this is only an exaggeration, you can hunt a big mobbie with aim+conceal+heavy damage rifle... no?

A. yes... several other master rifles from my guild and i took out krayt dragons one weekend with nothing but hundreds of conceal shots.
Also, thanks for the other tip on MS2... its obvious that the more painful bleed goes first to increase the amount of damage...
One note here-- it doesnt matter which order you stack the bleeds in. shoot mindshot 1 first if you want, it really doesn't matter. the important thing is to put two good bleeds on your target-- keep your combat chat window open and look at bleed shot values. if you get a low one, reapply it.
Just to add other thing... when you put to bleed a mob and you run from him... is it possible in that way avoid the fight and still weaken it?? is there a way of doing this?
A. yes, but it's a marksman skill-- marksman ranged support 3 (warningshot). a successful hit from warningshot will send nearly all MOB's running the opposite direction until your next attack (or bleed tick). Warning shot is best used in a macro followed by a /peace (so you don't re-agro the target on your next autoattack). Use a fast gun, like a spraystick, in case you need to shoot it several times to land one.

Er, you mean you have 175k xp? Just see another Rifleman or a Rifleman trainer to get a new skill. Concealshot works like this- as long as you hit the target (outside of 40m) it will not aggro. If you miss twice, it will attack you. FYI, I like to do MS2 then MS1 followed by HS2 or HS3s. This should give ya a bit more damage via bleeds.![]()
Sounds like you are kneeling there. The number of misses is related to the number of shots you get from normal shooting before aggro. Or so I used to think. For some reason at master there is a strange effect where you shoot so fast the server is not catching all the shots? but I digress. How it worked for me before master was shoot standing, first normal hit aggro'ed, one miss b 4 aggro on conceal shot. For kneel is was 2 and prone 3. When I used Maskscent/Conceal from Ranger I could double that: 2, 4 and 6.
Sense becomming Master I can sometimes get 6 shots off standing before they notice. Maybe that is lag. If I shot twice and peace perhaps I would get agrro'd in some cases, but so far I have not done a "laboritory experiment" to see if this changed for me at master.
yes but, standing and kneeling will prove much weaker than prone as far as damage is concerned.
If you are worried about being caught prone, depending on the weapon of your choice, you should be 50/60m away from your target, so if it does agro, you have time to stand and leg it.
