Thread: Tusken (King) Rifle question

Do we know if the Tusken Rifle- Kinetic damage issue is being addressed in this patch? If not, I heard the Tusken King Rifle from the Borvo quest is Kinetic damage. Is this accurate and, if so, is certification needed? (Hope not, since it surely won't ever exist)

yes tuskin rifles are kinetic damage and if a cert is needed (dont remember yes or no) it is low down in the marksman rifle tree I've never had a problem using a tuskin rifle, its fun to go out big game hunting with a tuskin rifle

yeah but the tusk king rifle has a speed of 12.0 lol
even if someone had a 60% energy resist a good laser rifle will still be better by far

The speed is irrelevant to me as I can shoot a 12 speed weapon at the cap. With specials, probably less than 1.5 seconds apart. Just wondering if I will be 'certified'.

Can you get this rifle now as a quest? and if so can someone plz tell me where to start it.

Tusken Rifles are not kinetic - they need to be.
The Tusken King Rifle is kinetic - like all Tuskens should be - BUT we are not certified for it, so just give it Huff like you are supposed to, it is useless uncerted.

I saw that gun on the krayt skull quest and got excited myself when I saw the kinetic damage (finally some kinetic dmg for a riflemen!), but then shot it once to see how it worked and got the "damage is reduced because you are not qualified to use this weapon...." error. Was a real bummer. So, answer is to turn the gun in cause it's worthless and get your dragon skull.
Regarding the damage types problem, I don't think it's going to be addressed.
So, get outthere and stack your 1 bleed against those 100% energy/cold/stun resist nightsister protectors!

Mapai,
You start the Krayt Dragon Skull quests by talking to Borvo the Hutt's guard in the back of the Moenia Cantina. Plan on a couple of hours to finish the quests. The last mission you run you get a Tusken King Rifle that you return to Borvo for your dragon skull. If you cancel the mission and restart after you get your gun, you can keep the gun. I think I still have the gun on my wall, but it's useless to use without the cert. I remember it cost an extra planet hop, think from Naboo to Corellia to kill someone and then back to Naboo, to restart the mission and keep the gun.
