I don't have 20 million credits to buy a Pre-nerf Krayt'd sliced T-21 which does 900 damage. I only have 80k credits so I'm not sure if I can get a decent rifle (Kettermoor). The only rifle I have right now is a laser rifle and it does the job okay but I certainly won't be dropping Rancors with it, let alone something like a Picket. Should I go another class and try to get a few million credits before I do anything or is it possible to make a decent rifleman who can solo decent MoBs with? Do I have to have these uber rifles to become effective?

Oh and one more thing. Have you guys ever seen those sigs that are lines of text and look like they are a part of the post?

I am a 2101 rifleman, and I use a T21 bought for 25k. It does the job. At my level, i can do a shnaff, thnx to concealed shot, but only one and then I have to w8 the 5mins to get my mind back.

I dont think we are that type of class to go out soloing uber mobs, definitely a heavy support for big mobs for grps. We just cant take any damage as we everything is pumped into Mind/Focus/Willpower. This mite be different for a Master Rifleman, maybe one of them will answer.

its not so bad... my very first professions were rifleman and ranger. Shooting my targets with the best gun being a tusken rifle hehehe

I didnt use a T21 regularly until I became a Master Rifleman. Live and die with the Laser Rifle until than. Same max damage as most 21s and much lighter on the mind. Also, get crates of +33% Min/Max Damage powerups, Mind powerups and Speed powerups you will find a use for each, than make sure you have one loaded onto you rifle at all times.

Stick with it. Its a great combat profession and leaves alot of SP left for other fun things. Commandoscome and go, butonce a Rifleman, always a Rifleman.

There were a fairnumber of servers that didn't have the right resources to make T21's till after the T21 nerf and they all have successful riflemen on them.

I'm a rifleman from release and I have never owned a Krayt Rifle, loot rifle, nor Pre-Nerf T-21.(Don't really need em) When you get to master thats when our power kicks in, bofore then life is a pain in the arse.

Lol, I mastered Rifleman using the laser rifle, no powerups but pops in an ocassional muon gold,exclusively. If you are not having much success finding groups, try hunting pikets at Dant. I level from novice rifleman to master there. Took a long while but when you get conceal shots, you will progress faster. Once you have flushing2 you will be progressing even faster. I was a MCH at that time and it helped alot - sent in my two maulers while I hammer away. Each pikets give about 3k xp and each lair spawns 3 waves of 3 pikets, you do the math.

Rifleman gets crazy fun once you complete your Sniping Tier. (I did concealment I, then completed the entire sniping tier) I personally prefer a T21 over a laser rifle, but as posted above, get good powerups and the laser rifles will give a T21 a run for their money.

I don't buy krayt enhanced, uber gear weapons because it's not worth it to me, I get mine from a great weaponsmith who doesn't charge more then 25k tops for decent quality rifles.

Teioh, two observations.

First, rifleman is the flavor of the month class, of sorts - ok, CM is, but rifleman is getting popular. This is because it is a class that works well. It does exactly what it is supposed to, although some tweaking might be in order.

Secondly, 'pre-nerf krayt rifle' or for that matter pre-nerf anything is quite rare. Presumably, rifleman's reputation and popularity is not due to the few such weapons that exist.

That should mean that 1+1=2 - you do not need pre-nerf weapons to be effective.

However, your currrent weapon choices are very few.

Jawa rifle, laser rifle, and T-21. The T21 is, uniquely,heavy armor piercing, which is anoteworthy advantage. The jawa rifle is stun, which is nice against some armors, and the laser rifle is a very good weapon.

Krayt versions of the same are better, but be aware that the T-21 requires 11 krayt tissues from the same dragon. That drops very rarely; on my server you cannot buy one for love or gold.A million might be enough, I have that and more, but I have never seen or heard of one offered for sale.

Regular T-21's is then a good choice; they cost 25-40K usually, seen them as high as 50-60 but usually around 40K.

So I would not suggest waiting around for more cash before going for rifleman, you should do well with 80K... but keep in mindyou need to buy a steady supply of crates of muon gold. .)

(5.5K per crate of 25 is the best price I've found on those on the open market.).

FYI there is no such thing as a pre-nerf krayt T21, krayt tissues were added after the nerf

Hmm who would make an Krayt made T21?...

Lets say you made an realy uber one with legendary +300 tissue, What would you use it for...

Hunting krayts. Nah would destroy it to fast.

Gaining xp. Nah you are already master so nouse for that.

PvP. Yeah this is the only thing i can think of to use it to... But then again why not use half of them in an jawa rifle and sell the other half and be an multi millionare. (or make 2 jawa rifles)

bottom line is no one makes T21 rifles with good krayt tissues as it take 11 of em... And think if you did and get an sucky slice on it arrrrghhhhh

hell, im sitting on anything but 20 million credits (more like 300kish...) and hell, i did sniping 4 in one day. just get yourself a decent t21, and go kill some quenkers.
