it is an excessively small minority but it also holds most of the loudest crybaby whiner types so they get heard quite a bit. not all pvpers are crybaby whiners just around 98%...

i pvp about 95% of my time (the other time is spent spending money to pvp - buying food/guns/slices/armor, etc). I usually get buffed and solo pvp until i get ganked or make some very unfortunate mistake, then i feel like "i'm spent" and logoff contently

or i just chill and maybe TEF fight with imperial friends after i lose my overtness in death(i'm rebel), or i'll duel people for fun(usually friends)/shoot the sh|t, hang out, etc.

anyways, pvp and pve issues are very different, I agree.

I used to PvP a few hrs every week with my old char, but now I'm neutral and plan on staying that way for the near future.

Most PvP are kids, or think/type like them. Luckily I am a hunter/harvestor typeand don't have to hear them. (unless I am foolish and give in to "Please let me join your hunt I need exp please kthx" and die later becuse that same "kid" pulls Nightsister red-con into our group at the worst possible time... sorry, the event has scarred me)

PvE is working great imho, and I fear any twiddling now. Most if what I hear about PvP now days is about defense stacking, which should be delt with w/o "nerfing" anyone but the stackers themselves.

There is also variety within pvp itself......

I find that rifleman is really great ina group where you can freely pick people off. I honently feel bad for thesefolks sometimes. Once i start hitting their mind they just kind run around in circles rather that runing for cover, city pvp rocks.

Duels however is a different story. Cuz once you are targeted there are alot of attacks that can take you out of the game quick, namely the KD, blind, stuff like that I can heal to some extend but while taking dmg on top of the effect it's light out for me unless I have a squad mate to back me up.

Lately Ive pretty much come to believe that whether or not any of these templates seems "overpowered" largely depends on the situation. Lets just say that some classes are more "advantaged" that others

thanks

Hah. PVE is soooo boring lol.. once you use up all ur skill points and max out ur char the way u want it what is there to hunt other than to harvest. PVE is too easy and not fun at all.

My char is declared 24/7 and if Im not declared its cause Im too beaten up. PVP is the only thing going for me in this game.

I'm a Doc rather than a 2nd combat prof so I can play two ways.....recently gotten into crafing which is surprisingly fun!....it's the crafting grind that sucks....once you can make stuff that is acutally in demand its great!

I pvp less then once every 2 weeks, and then its less than an hour. My game totally revolves around the PVE side of things. No nerf should be done to rifleman because of kiddie PVP whingers.

There is a lot of talk about nerfing the rifleman because he is to poweful in pvp. Now most of the people I know play pve most of the time. I've only met one group of pure pvpers, who were only in it for the fact that they liked to kill other players only.

So how many people pvp? Is this a case of a very small very loud minority, or is it bigger then that.

I PVP about 5% of my total game time. Now if you count actual time shooting at a overt reb then its down to 0.5% as when pvping you seem to spend just as much time flying around as you do shooting.

PVE creatures/ Reb npc's seem to be the primary target of many people.

Its really more of a personal thing with rifleman. Alot of people don't like the circle jerk group tef crap. Others think its a riot and can't get enough of it.

I can just see a "Wait for the Combat Revamp" and "Wait for the Smuggler Revamp" quote all rolled into one.
