Hi everyone , I was sitting at the AH cantina the other day , and there was a small group of pistoleers sitting there "whining" about the fact that this game is not "realistic" and that in real life , a rifleman would never shoot as fast as a pistoleer...
Okay , I must say I am no military expert , and I have already completed my (very short) military service for my country , but one thing I do know... assault rifles ARE faster than pistols!
I have no idea what they were talking about , but if I shoot a target with a Beretta , even with one of the semi-automatic models , I will never get the same rate of fireas I do with a... let's say... M4 or an AK47! (pretty standard weapons , every terrorist seems to own a Kalashnikovso everyone here should know the rifle...)
Why do they KEEP WHINING that WE are too fast?! Look... I understand that inside SWG they need to be fast in order for the game to be "balanced" , but saying that we are too fast?! We are
riflemen for God's sake... of course we are fast! We use assault rifles!
Honestly , I must say that I see myself more as a Soldier and/or Hunter than a Sniper (I am also a Ranger), but I would really love to see some REAL sniper rifles in SWG! THEN, and only with THOSE rifles I would agreeto a "speed cap" , heavily decreasing our speedbut moderately increasing our damage and accuracy , like a real sniper.
Pistoleers... flame away! Even though I would much rather read some decent and constructive replies to my humble statement. I'm not claiming that I have the answers to SWG'sproblems , I really don't... but one thing I do know for sure , pistols are slow!
