Thread: hard decision... master marksman or exploration 3??

The title say it all.... With the template i am aiming for, i cant have both exploration3 AND master marksman.


I am wondering if exploration 1 is sufficient to be able to "kite" like most rifleman here on the board are suggesting.


Or is master marksman really worth it??ok i know that it double our firing rate with flushing shot2.But should it be possible to use skill tape/plate instead??And with the upcomming combat change, who know what will happen...


Argh its always the same for me with games that allow total freedom of character developpement .. i cant pick a choice!!


Please give some advises.

Master Marksman is useless.


I mastered it and surrendered it for the badge

Master Marksman is pretty much usless, try going up against an elite profession with marksman and you'll get dropped faster than a meatlump. stick with exploration 3 for the trekking.

i think that master marks makes a big difference in my rate of fire with my damage sliced t-21 shooting specials at the cap... but my advice is if you are curious drop it and see how it effects you...

if the slower speed doesn't bother you much, then look at how much you use your carbines and pistols... if its like never i'd drop those lines and spend the gained SP elsewhere...

if you use pistols still i'd drop the carbines line and some ranged support and get the trickshot line of pistoleer...


i'm not sure on the rest of how you spent your SP so its hard to offer more advice...

Search your galaxy for a total of +7 speed tapes, slap them in some armor/clothes and get explore 3. Master Marksman is only good for Rifleman for the speed advantage.

I agree, but maybe its my Muon meltdown too. I'm holding off on dropping Master Marksman until I can scavenge enough tape. I think I'm going to be a Politician and semi-retire.

Exploration 1 makes a world of difference, but you will not be able to climb steep hills fast with just it. I know I'll take Scout 1000 or 3000 any day before Master Marksman.
