Thread: Anything to help against a KD/Dizzy Spam Combo?

I can't beat this dude. He is some sort of Bounty Hunter Hybrid.


I am a Master Rifleman/Master Doctor and I get one shot off (Head shot 2) and then I am on the floor, gasping for air. And I cant stand or defend myself. If I dont get the First shot, then he suffers nothing.


Does anybody know what I can do to defend myself in this situation?

Spam /stand and your cure dizzy macro.
Or /stand and healself.

i was a bh for a long time, so i have a feeling i know what he's doing...


he's probably a bh/carbineer hybrid. while pure bh's can still KD you, Fireknockdown misses a bit too much to be reliable.


he's probably using confusion shot (for dizzy chance 1), fireknockdown (dizzy chance 2, knockdown chance 1), and chargeshot (knockdown chance 2) as his opening. that gives him 2 chances to dizzy, and 2 chances to knockdown in the first 3 shots-- which take a total of 3 secs.


your only defense is going to be skilltapes and other mods for defense against dizzy and defense against knockdown, or general ranged defense. with bh+ carb accuracy, general ranged defense is not likely to save you.


bottom line-- as a master doc, you have a ton of skillpoints tied up in non-combat skills/bonuses. you're not likely to take a guy with that template on successfully, since his skillpts are tied up in pure offense.

Best thing I've foundispoping a moun, sunburn anda healthhealth food to stay alive, If all goes well you could pop off a quick mind1/mind2 combo before kd'ed and try to get in a headshot2 when standing along with a cure dizzy stim. Its tricky to get it right but it can be done.

that's a good idea, too.. but make sure you do the cure dizzy after each stand. if you do successfully stand with dizzy still applied, and try to stand again, you get kd'd again.

I have the pistol skill tree that gives youd defense against those. Seems to only work with melee fighters though.

Its rough, hes prob a BH with carbineer charge shot 1. Once he dizzies you, charge shot will prob KD you down from mega range. Best bet I would have to say is to try to heal your dizzy, or kill him before he kills you. I've been dizzy before and KDed, but for some reason I am able to get back up. Its hard with Master Doc, some people stack defenses vs KD and dizzy. I would say tr to keep moving.

Hi,


I know your pain...two of my best buddies in game are BH carbineers and it is just about impossible with how charge shot is in its current form.


However, if you are dealing with a anyother KD besidescharge shot I can recomment two things.....


1) get 40 med use from medic and get a doc to make some cure state dizzy stims....very cheap and easy for him to make. Make a macro /stand; /cureState self dizzy; I like to throw in a clear combat queue command in there as well so I dont have to do it manually.You are goin to have to spam this a bunch of times for this to work......i recommend you buff up and wear armor so you have enough time to get up. It does work very well, unless he is using charge shot. Works very well against TK's!if you have armor on


2) Pistoleer and fencer have the most KD defense in the game in just one tree in each.....if you are a combat guy and the KD gets you everytime you should get those two trees.


If your 2nd class is not devoted to combat stuff......(and ive tried to make this point on the boards before) they you are going to have to accept that you are going to have weakenesses. But you have plenty of skill points to plug the few weakenesses that riflemen have....

you can try to get right back at him....flurryshot 2 and suppresionfire.


Now the key with rifleman is not to face someone headon when they know where you are...but testing in a duel is a fine way to counter situations on this. Keep trying whatever tactic you got...

That charge shot is ruthless and I don't know how to stop it, but I hear they now have food that can protect you from knockdown. Otherwise try to heal the dizzy state as you stand up.



I run around with a bh carbiner and a straight carbiner and we love that combo. I just grab my e-11, spam flurry 2 a few times to get everybody dizzy, then flushing 2 to put stun and lower their defences while the carbiners systematically knock everybody down with chargeshot. It would fun if they fixed charge shot 2 with the group knockdown, it would make group of carbine and riflemen very deadly.

Like Geddeo said, there's new foods that could help you with this. The 2 I've heard of are Thatikillo (Master Chef) and Correlian Brandy. The Correlian Brandy can last up to 32m, and I believe the new stomachs empty in 30m, so you will almost never be without.
