Thread: simple fix for weakness vs state attacks and speed cap
but .. I have never seen any rifleman kneel or prone in pvp. If I die I usually die from KD or dizzy and under current game rules WE HAVE TO BE MOBILE (burstrun comes handy).
If you want protection against theses, change profession /sigh
And don't go prone in pvp, that's the dumbest thing
i've been kneeling and/or going prone in pvp more and more lately. i have to be careful and make sure i'm not the primary focus of a melee players attention - but on tempest, there isa large group of 250 skillpoint pvp'ers with the 'uber defenses' (pistoleer/fencers, rifleman/tkm, etc) and the easiest way to hit'em is to bleed and kneel/go prone if you can (or switch to melee and do my fencing thing) -
the accuracy bonuses to kneeling and especially prone really help when trying to hit a guy with 210 dodge or +180 ranged defense ![]()
but then again... so does intimidate, blind, and dizzy - ![]()
also easier to justify using /aim if you're already kneeling or prone.
i use those stances more often (albeit no where near frequently) in pvp now, too.. but i've hotkey'd /stand in case i get rushed (also helps for getting up from KD)
That should be part of the combat system revamp we are waiting for.
So no, it's not stupid to think we should be able to get /prone or under /takecover in PvP and stand a chance. Of course as of right now this only means death. :/
