Thread: Why is my T81 better than subsequent rifles? As a Novice, I do better with it than anything else.

I've been taking my time as a Rifleman, and recently acquired the rank of Novice Rifleman. On my way up the comabt tree, I have picked up an Ion rifle (Jawa loot) , Spraystick, S81 (?). Sure they may be faster than my initial T81 (speed 7.1), but dang if my /Headshot 2 just wail on HAM's if I hit.
So what am I do wrong? I'm doing better with my low end rifle than I am doing with faster, higherlevel rifles. /Headshot2 is pretty spiffy for me.
What rifle and stats shoudl I be looking for to get a faster shot, but equally powerful to my Novice Skill level.

I would suggest a nice low ham laser rifle for leveling. You can get a decent one at about 57 mind ham cost that does upward to 400 damage unsliced at around 6 seconds. It's a bit easier to level up with.

well remember that a t21 has ap3 meaning heavy armor pearcing so it is doing more damage riht out of the barrel, plus... headshot 2 has a damage multipier...I forget the the number but it might be 2 or 3 times the damage. So you 300 point shot on a target with light armor is now getting hit for 450 plus.. times 2 or 3 meaning the mindshot is now hitting for around 1k...

Loot weapons suck, the spraystick has low damage, high HAM, and no armor piercing, and the SG82 also has no armor piercing.
Go buy a laser or E11 (preferably speed sliced), either would be better at novice than what you have now.

Since when do we have a T81?! Its a bigger number than the T21 so it must be alot better. I WANT ONE! Anyway, the T21 or the Laser rifle are currently our best rifles, aside from the Jawa Ion which is only good against composite. Another thing, what drove you to the madness of using one of the rifles you got from loot? Don't you read the stats, if you did you'd know that its crap.

I upgraded my T21 to a T21.1, but it was a bad patch and I had to apply Fixpack T21.1.2 to get it working properly.

Think that is the T-80, not sure but I don't think they came out with a new one yet.
There was a T-81 truck used in WW2 though

My bad...I am at work when Iam on this board (double My Bad), and I'm sure I got the name wrong. Most likely is the T21. It wasn't loot, but something another player gave me early on inthe game when we scouting togther. It is slightly more enhanced than the stock loot, but still seems to get me out of a bind, unless I miss that first /headshot2
