HI I am a novice Rifleman playing on the chimaera server.Being new to the profession (0.1.0.0) I could really use some tips and some help so I can really anjoy this profession as much as it should be. Tips onsupport professions/rifles or anything you would like to mention would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your feedback because I am not sure what prof to really pursue other than rifleman.

Hey there ! I think I might have something for you, although my progressions may differ a bit from the ones you'd see in this forum

First of all get Concealment I - this will grant you a very cool shot (concealshot) which does tons of damage while you reamain undetected...

Now, with this shot you can single out almost anything that's warm and has a pulse

This shot is effective as long as you don't miss twice (sometimes once) after this your target will go agro on you....

So your main objective would be to build up your accuracy, go for the sniping tree, till you reach at least sniping III - until then I'd recommend Aiming before Shooting this will decrease your chance of being spotted.

As soon as you have sniping III go to Lok, once there get missions against Nym theese pay very well - 9k per mission, and are quite quick to do. Only 2 or 3 pirates defending the objective - you'll waste them in no time, Important thing is they rarely move, so you won't waste much time relocating...

Do at least 20 of those missons so you build up a healthy amount of credits....

Get yourself a set of UBESE Armor (it's great ! has 72% kinetic resists and lower HAM costs then Composite)

Now, you're ready to become a badass....

Get Gurk missions (also on Lok) theese pay a bit less, 8k per mission but the xp you get ROCKS, you get about 3k weapon xp per gurk, 4k xp per lair - there are circa 8-9 gurks per mission plus lair so yo'd be getting a 30k weapon xp total per mission , Now once you have the Ubese armor you can stop using conceal shot, this armor will protect you very well, the trick is to pull one gurk at a time and then finish it off...

  1. Hit "maskscent"

  2. choose a target

  3. use a mindshot on it ... preferably mindshot2

  4. as soon as your target goes aggro on you hit warning shot for a couple of times

  5. the target will run away BLEEDING just be sure that it runs more then 120m away from you

  6. in the mean time you can do this on another target (your previous target will stay away for a copule of minutes)

  7. once the target is back use a HeadShot ... preferably headshot3 to finish it off

Alternatively you can simply...

do first 3 above points, and then finish it off with standard attack (don't forget to : 1. Wear Ubese, 2. Heal up from time to time, 3. Have some Muon, or Fishak, or Breath of Heaven on you - those are livesavers, they increase your mind for certain periods of time) with muon however you need to be careful, after 10 minutes you'll get a downer and you will be combat ineffective.

The above method is good for critters only !!!

to kill npc's like stormtroopers or tougher pirates you still need to use conceal shot !!!

Also be sure to use a GOOD RIFLE

Laser Rifles are very good

T21's are EXCELLENT if sliced for speed - you'll deal damage more quickly, while your rifle speed grows over time

If you have some questions for me send me a /tell on Lowca Server

ok, if you play on eclipse i can help ya, but get a good lazer rifle, and when ya get flurry shot, its useful if you dizzzy the enemy then use suppresion fire , if the NPC or PC stands up from the posture change they could get KD'd, pretty helpful

spraysticks are useful for 1 thing: indoors, i use em to bleed NPC's in buildings than run out and watch their mind whiitle down to nothing, then step in and pop em in the head

CH helps alot too .

get ranged support IV

i hada use a magnify glass for that text x.x

yeah use lasers for leveling. don't waste money on t-21s until you are rich or you want to PvP. do invest in powerups and food. it costs money and you'll be eating through powerups fast, but it's worth it to cut down your downtime and the money you'll be earning will cover it.

i didn't use conceal shot to level... too slow for me. i got sniping 1, then went up to counter-sniping for flushingshot2 -- i used FS2 or head/mindshot until i hit master.

I got a question. What kind of stats should I expect out of a good t-21?
