Thread: Very Strange Occurances

Well I went to Kor Vella because I wanted to head out to the Alliance base. I go to the starport and my radar turns yellow. Outside the starport were a couple hundred, yes hundred, storm troopers. So I head up to the cloning center and clone.


I then find a nice little spot and open fire on the Troopers with Strafe 2. Here is where it gets really odd.


My Strafe 2 would only hit one target. I saw 20-30 close bunched troopers and was looking forward to hitting them all. But it would only hit one. But here is the really odd part. I was one hitting them. I had one hit for 19.5k.


I was using my usual T21 with a powerup. Have no idea what was going on. Only hitting one target and one hitting them.


It was pretty much everytime like this also.


I've heard about the Strafe 2 bug where you get multiple hits on the same target for a lot of damage. This appears to be what is occuring. If so it would appear that this bug may have something to do with the number of targets in the area. Instead of hitting say twenty targets, it's hitting one and doing all the damage to that one target.

Not at first. There was a pile of them that seemed to self regenerate. The pile never got any smaller. When they did aggro it seemd I would only hit one still. It reminded me of the scene the the second Matrix where Agent Smith replicates himself constantly.


Something else strange happened. I ducked behind a building to heal up. But I was still being shot thru the building. When ever I tried to return fire I got the "Can't see target" message.


After moving to a safer place I got booted. Went back to the load screen and it automatically started to log me back in. Once in I warped from Kor Vella to 1,1. It said I was in a town but there were no buildings. So I jumped on my bike and headed to the nearest player town that was on the planetary map. When I got there my HUD showed vendors, a hospital, etc. But none of the buildings loaded. I was in a ghost world apparently.


Seems there are some serious problems with the Imperial Crackdown, or is it Imperial Lagdown?

Man... sounds like you found one of those Uber bugs


hehe... you should head over to Core Systems forum and check out the "Wookiee's Rejoice" thread.. you'll ove the official word in there.. Trust me..

You definately had some oddities there.


The bug w/ the area shot hitting for 20k etc.. is because there is a pile of corpses. It's not actually 1 hit, but a seperate hit for each corpse on the ground.


This screenshot was from a gualama lair. I killed them, then area shot the lair 1x and blew it up. After wiping the stunned look of disbelief off my face, I went to combat tab and took a screenie.

aye, this happens with lots of NPCs and Corpses around with AOE attacks. This was happening in the Dathomir Rancor cave where you could get a couple thousand xp every couple seconds. I heard of SL's getting master in two hours. It's sick.


Fair warning though, they were threatening bans on Bria for using this bug, but that could be cause we Bria.

I think I found out what happened here Waste93.. Apparently there was supposed to be an event where Stormies and Rebel Commando's appeared outside Kor Vella.. Only the Stormies spawned..


The rest is just one enormous poochscrew..


Apparently a number of players near Kor Vella got booted and couldn't log back in... hehehe! Love it...
