Thread: strafe shot 1
Strafeshot1 does a 2.0 x the damage modifier (same as Headshot2 as pointed out earlier). That means it takes the damage the rifle would do on a normal attack and doubles it. The DLT20 does Energy damage and has no armor piercing as I recall. So even in the best of circimstances (against a target that is vulnerable to energy damage), the best you can ever hope for is 510 damage with that shot with that rifle. Heck, with Strafeshot2 at Master (our best damage multiplier shot), the best you could ever hit for with that rifle is onlysomething like 1,275. Add armor and resistances into the equation, and you are going to do less damage than either of those numbers.
Therefore, the problem is not the shot, but the weapon. You need to get a better weapon. Some people use the DLT20 because of its low HAM use, but because of its lack of armor piercing, it will never outdamage a good Laser, E11, or T21.
