When you are master rifleman, you don't have the need for crap like traps, mask scent and the like.

Trust me on this one.

Since you already have a CH that hunts with you, you really don't need Master Marksman. Sure the extra speed is nice but only really has aplications in PVP were it is needed. If I were you I'd go Master Ranger, Camo kits can be used on your friends too and tracking is one of the best skills in the game IMO. If you really want the speed get a couple +1 tapes and attach em to your cloths but really you should not miss it since you have pets to tank for you.

I was master ranger for a long time and dropped it to master marksman. Conceal kits are basically the same as mask scent, they won't be working on NPC's anymore. Traps are pretty much useless, camps are nice but weren't worth the skill points anymore. Tracking, if you like it keep it, other than that I would recommend marksman over ranger at this point in time.

Most of the ranger tree isn't very useful at the moment. The devs are revamping the profession, but it will probably be a while. In the meantime, the only branch of the tree worth having is tracking, mainly for the harvesting bonus.

Wayfaring? I never used the cammo kits when I had them. The crawling bonus is OK, but how often do you need to crawl fast? Frontiering? The only good thing is the coolness of the high-tech field base. Overall, though, the line's not worth the skill points. The high-quality camp (novice ranger)is as much as you'll ever need, and the grind up the frontiering tree isn't fun. Trapping? Ranger traps add little. If you use traps, the scout traps will do fine.

Keep the tracking line in ranger and spend your other skill points elsewhere. Those I know who are keeping master ranger are doing it mainly for rp reasons.

Another thought you might want to pursue is bounty hunter because you already have all the prerequisite professions (e.g. master scout, master marksman).

Master Rifleman w/ a Master Doc and Master CH?

**edit**!! .. you guys are the dynamic duo

Right now ranger is ..ehh... not so good. YOu will love it if we get half the things we're asking for... We've been dubed the .. ULTIMATE CREATURE HUNTER!! YES!! WOOHOOO!!!.. oh... maybe that's just a bit on the gay side, but with that we're asking for some serious creature to hit bonuses.. something that you'll actually notice... so that would fit great with what you like to do. But obviously none of this is coming to us anytime soon.. you have plenty of time to try out other stuff before you get back to ranger.

Advice needed please.

First some backround:

Im a Master Marksman and a Master Scout working on Master Rifleman.

Im a novice Ranger and use the tracking ability a lot.

I dont need Medic skills cause i always hunt whit a Master Doctor by the side.

I dont need Creature Handling Skills cause the Master Doctor is also a Master Creature Handler.

Im more in to PvE (finding, killing and harvesting mobs).

Now the question:

Are the skill mods in the Master Marksman worth it for Master Rifleman?

Or should i only keep Rifles 4 and Ranged Suport in the Marksman Profession to get Master Ranger and be able to use all Camo kits.

So the basic question is wich would be more important, The master marksman skill mods to the rifleman or the camouflage kits, traps and better camps.

Thanks if u can shed some light in to this.

Sorry I'm a schill for the ranger profession. It makes me feel bad when I see people drop it

Yeah it was hard to drop it. Took me about a week and a half of going back and forth before I made the final decision. I dropped it 1 skill at a time as I needed the points, the last and hardest to drop was camping4. I literally sat there with the cursor over the box for about 20 min. making sure I was doing what I wanted.(I made master before you got xp for crafting camps, it was hell)
