Thread: New and Happy PvP esperience from a Master.
Hello all. I've been a Master Sharpshooter for some time and playing since launch. I haven't PvP'd much at all because frankly I was never very good at it. So after learning the ins and outs of this great profession, I decided to give it a try.
It was a beautiful Corellian morning as I stepped off the starship into Coronet. I readied my trusty rifle and headed out towards the rebel recruiter. After declaring, I patrolled the city looking for any of the Emperor's goons lurking about. When what to my surprise I found a Master Gunfighter/Master Fencer and a Master Commado/TKA combostrutting about in front of the starport.
I steadied my breathing, sited them in, and began precisely plinking away at their composite shrouded heads with my chubby Jawa Ion rifle. The gunfighter/fencer's dodges looked the like fateful "peepee dance" we all did as kids. They both charged me, which was a bit concerning for my unarmored, unbuffed Wookiee behind. So I did what any life loving person should do...I ran. ![]()
But I kept shooting and after several seconds I noticed they were both lying on their backs. I caught glimpses of missed /tells that scrolled past amidst all the "selling worhtless crap at blank coords" spam one finds in front of starports.
I calmly turned around and sniped them to their doom (gosh I love ranged DB). I scrolled back and read the tells. The gunfighter said in protest, "why don't you hold still and fight".
And the commando griped, "why don't you stand up like a man and take it".
Ahh yes, the voices from the grave. I wasn't too terribly haunted by them though. I didn't respond, just let my rifle do the talking. Six more of them showed up with a doctor. So after killing four of them (and dying four times...hehe) they of course were not forced to clone. Many other rebels joined in the fray and we were able to clear the city of the remaining threat.
What a blast. I love this profession. I'm not a good PvP player yet. But I was able to hold my own against superior numbers. After being quite disappointed with this game, I'm looking forward to the world of PvP and the GCW. Thanks for reading my ramblings. I'm a big dork I know. But at least I knew not to stand still when people were shooting at me.
