Fairly new to rifleman....but have 2-1-1-2 right now...ok here goes.

How important is it to stack attacks, using in succession mind shot 1, 2, 3 or head shot 1, 2, 3? I can take out savage quenkers pretty easily only using muon, for obvious reasons, and then mind shot 3 and a couple head shot 3's. However, will my shots be more effective if i use the others first?

Also, what does the suprise shot do...the third in the sniper line?

Any suggestions on which skill to get next...I keep hearing of flushing shot 2....but I was thinking that the accuracy bonus' from the sniping line would be best. I prefer to solo...and when i group...my group is good enough that it doesn't really matter how good I am...so i really get my best xp alone. Thanks

From a game mechanics perspective, shot order has no effect on effectiveness. However, there may be some circumstances where you want to do things in a specific order. For instance, if only one bleed sticks or if I can only get one of them off, I would rather it be the higher damage one, so I always shoot Mindshot2 before Mindshot1. Likewise, the bleed timer takes 20 seconds to tick off before it causes any real damage. Therefore, it is better to start with the bleeds before the Headshots.

Unlike Mindshot1 and Mindshot2, there is no general reason to use both Headshot2 and Headshot3 in the same attack. The only decision between using Headshot2 vs. Headshot3 is damage vs. mind costs. Headshot3 has higher mind costs than Headshot2. It is generally agreed that the higher mindcosts are not in line with the increase in damage. However, if you are mind buffed, the additional costs are somewhat irrelevant. So the question is whether you want to hit harder or conserve mind. If you are concerned about your own mind, use Headshot2, if not, use Headshot3.

The only other thing I can think of where order may be a concern is it is better to apply the Dizzy before you attempt to force a posture change. But all of these are logical reasons to apply one before the other. Thre is no gain in effectiveness (e.g., more damage) or such from a game mechanics perspective.

Finally, x x 3 x will give you FlushingShot2 which is Area Effect, 4x damage, stun, and posture change. This is the most effective damage shot after Strafeshot2, which is 5x damage but is not obtained until Master. The high damageand stun make it a very valuable, but the area effect allows you to do that to multiple creatures at once. Used properly, it can make leveling much faster. The only thing you have to be careful of, as with any area effect shot, is that you have to use it carefully to keep from aggroing more creatures than you intended.

Sniping Accuracy is important, but higher damage on more targets will serve you better for leveling.

just to help with what sotaudi was saying about flushing2 -

if used properly, flushing2 will help you level the rest of the rifleman tree much faster than if you obtainedsniping 4 before flushing2.
