Thread: *sigh* Nothing has changed, heh?

So, I decided to check back and see if anything has changed for the better.

Yeah, sure, new forums and new posts and new requests for comments from the players. So, who believes they will listen this time? I don't.

The correspondant is still pretty useless. Not because of him, but because of how the program is set up. He does not seem to be able to do more than pinning threads. He even says that on the top-secret correspondant board, there is a lot of discussion, but no answers or info from the devs.

SOE is still unbelievably incompetent. Seriously. Remember the BE fix? Where they introduced a new system, messed up horribly, then went back in and nerfed everything again? Ok, now think about how small this scope was: new clonign system, resulting in new creatures. If they had done only a small amount of QA, if only one person had actually played the new system, they would have seen what results were possible. They didn't. So, they are not able to implement a small change like this. Who is still optimistic that they can do something like "implement a complete new combat system, including new skills, new weapons, a new HAM system" without screwing up majorly?

3 second nerf? Well, I still think it's coming. But I was told to shut the hell up, and only start arguing against it when I know for sure it will come. Which, given the history of how we get information, will be on patch day when it's implemented.

Small, easy fixes like damage types? Still not there. Probably has to go through QA for about 6 months, to ensure the high quality changes we are used to get form SOE.

All in all, I stopped by to see what it's like now. I don't like what I see. I'll be reading this thread for a couple days, because I'm seriously intersted in how you all see the future of this profession and this game. But don't worry. I'll shut up again, and I will be gone again soon, not to disturb the optimistic or the naive with my rantings.

not that there aren't changes on the horizon, and a possibility of being nerfed -

but rifleman is STILL one of the most playable, potent, stackable, uber-ist professions in the game, atm.

still don't see what you're complaining about?

opinionated observation: can't call people naive optimists without recognizing that you're a naive pessimist at the same time, my friend...
