Thread: making Prone usefull for PVP......Brainstorms..and let this effectivly be rerouted to Devs

Ide like a big brainstorm here on how to make prone usefull for PVP....encouraging people to aim, rather to run so they get hit less....any ideas?


some idea's sparkling in my mind.....you get hit less when prone, opposite from running. ....modifiers Pronevs Standing attacks, Melee vs Prone ranged damage modifier, but knockdown not possible, Kneel knockdown and dizzy defencevs Melee attacks


special prone ranged attacks from larger then 64m to say ....128m that only apply to people and players


Rifleman -Pain shot :a shot that targets thekneecap (randompool attack 5x damage multiplier), causes forced to prone position

Carbineer - Suppresive Salvo: a salvo fire that a player wants to dive away and takecover ( AOE random pool attack 2.5x damage multiplier) , Causes forced to +Cover+ state with a delay of 5 seconds to next move (chances of succes increased when target prone))

Pistoleer - Dust maker : a rapid fired shot that targets the area around to cause dust and sparks, making it for the opponent more difficult to shoot (AOE random pool attack 2x damage multiplier), Causes blind and stunned status (chances of succes increased when target prone or in coverd state)


these were just from the top of my head.....Im sure you guys can up with more ideas or suggestions

Sounds cool to me.


Personally, i use prone a lot. When a defense mod stacked melee gets close to me, i hit warcry2 so they can't attack, go prone, then hs3(or aim, hs3 if they are really uber). Gives me some breathing room and a chance to hit the super high ranged def people.
