Thread: Is it possible to solo Krayts as Rifleman?

I unlocked my FS slot a month ago and I am finding it impossible to find good krayt hunts or pay 4 million per pearl that people want to sell. Please let me know if it is possible and how you did it. Thanks alot.

man... mind bleeds and headshots.... with a speeder..... maybe if you get them to fight each other. 300k ham though, it's not hard to imagine how tedious and inefficient that would be.


am i wrong in thinking a good group of 3 can take them down fairly easily? you should be able to find 2 other guys to help.

Thanks for the info, Im sure it would be tedious but so Is trying to level a jedi, and on average it takes at least 8 hours of killing mobs to find a single crystal to make slow sabres. Let me know if anyone on Bria would like to team up on some krayt.

need a good master doc and a pair of CH to tag team the krayt with good kinetic LA pets with the doc healing the pets as they take turns. it helps if the CH also have decent attacks.

there is no efficient way to solo krayts. it can be done but it takes a looooong time and they often despawn before you can kill it.

an interesting extra for that powerful tanking pet is that if you know the doc or are the doc and dont mind burning a little extra resources - full six-buff the pet too... it makes a big difference on the substats - thus the big ham MCH's pets can last quite longer in this type of fight... Though the MCHand Ithat tested this did not take on a Krayt - the principal was tested in rancor and kimo hunting by full-three buffing the health stats to see the damage over time... After 10 minutes of fight the rancor we were using was down to about 30% action, and just a little off 95% health... With a buff, and a 'hired' doc working full time on stim-e'ing your tanks - you could focus the riflemen on the krayt (in theory based on those tests)...

i soloed Krayts as pistoleer/BH using Healthshot 1/2 + Torso Shot. Died a couple of times but it worked.


Took out 4 juvenils and on Canyon krayt. But the canyon krayt took to much time those 300k HAM bars take ages to do. so i settled for juvenils got 1 pearl of them also. This was right after the Patch that changed them.


Lets see how long time it takes for you to kill an Krayt with mind shots. There is 20 sec between every tick and lets say you get on 1700dmg Tick counting both Mind shot 1 and 2.


That will give you 5100 dmg per min. in 10 mins it will be 51000 wich will almost kill an juvenile krayt. so in 60 min you will do 306000 damage wich is aout enough to kill an Canyon Krayt. But running around in an speeder around a krayt for an hour is not realy ny fun is it. especialy when they only drop things 1 out of 10 times.


Possible: Yes Worthwhile: No (nothing over juvinels is worth the time)

mmm, solo'ing krayts isn't as bad as it sounds...


I have a 716 dmg T21 with 40% wound, 104 mind cost, after doing the trick to be able to spam hs3 I do 2 simple things... I send in my mount against the juvenile Krayt Dragon... the juve attacks the little guy making the big guy bite the little guy... they stand, fight, and then I nail the big guy with mind shot 2 until it hits 2500 a tick and spam mind shot 1 till I get at LEAST 1500 a tick, then I spam hs3 until I have to fill my health and action bar, then continue to spam... I do 4300 damage every 20 seconds because of the bleeds, and my Head Shot 3 in my combat log reports a 3-5k hit, but in actuality only hits for 1-1.5k every 3-7 seconds, so in 20 seconds I do 5-8k that way... so in 20 seconds I do 9-13k damage, in one minute, 60-70k damage if I'm lucky...


About 5-7 minutes and then the thing falls over dead, because the juve is tanking it, HOWEVER, the juve then runs at me and then I have to use my BE'ed Creature Level 59 Gurreck with 14k Ham to stop the Juve Krayt dead in its tracks, of course in the last 2 minutes I applied some bleeds so the juve only has about 10-20k mind, blast it to death and I win...


I won't say how you spam HS3 and MS1 and MS2 indefinately, but I'm sure if you are a good riflemen you know how without me saying how... that's how I do it...

Solo'ing krayts is still possible BUT VERY VERY difficult, they are not meant to be solo'ed... the best teams I've seen take these down use a CH, a riflemen, a Master Swordsmen in ubese with buffs, a CM, and a ranger... that 5 man team can take it down in as little a 3 minutes... but hey.... whatever you do to kill a krayt is killing a krayt right

Reena hit on all the main pts.


I had them all happen to me this weekend.


Asa team of 2 Master rifleman and a CM, we were able to take out a number of juvies and canyons. Juvies went down in 45 seconds with 2 MRM hammering it


Canyons are still tuff.....lvl 55 pet AR1 60% kinetic resists buffed, combined 10,000 damage mind bleeds and mind disease and it still takes a while to kill one of them. 300+ HAM is nothing to laugh at. The worst part is when u get no loot from one
